The property is beautiful and straddles the Douro River. The roads are not really walkable - narrow, no sidewalks. The breakfast was great. The restaurants lunch and dinner was mediocre. The restaurant did face the beautiful Douro River and had tremendous views.
The rooms were nice but not special.

Fínt hótel en stendur ekki undir 4 stjörnum. Léleg, hæg þjónusta á síðdegisbarnum, ekki til stólar við öll borðin úti og ekki hægt að fá allt sem stóð á kokteil listanum. Góð þjónusta við innritun. Góður morgunmatur.
Umhverfið frábært en lítil sem engin þjónusta í nágreninu.
Útsýnið yndislegt. Skemmtilegur bíltúr til og frá.

Espetacular!
O Hotel Porto Antigo é um dos nossos hotéis preferidos. Além de estar localizado numa região maravilhosa, às margens do Rio Douro, tem uma equipe muito simpática e eficiente, um delicioso café da manhã e um restaurante que serve deliciosas refeições. Sempre que vamos à Portugal separamos alguns dias para nos hospedar neste hotel.
