Gangchon Star Valley Pension

I had a pleasant stay with my partner. We stayed in suite S3. It was snowing when we arrived, which made the snowy view absolutely breathtaking!! We asked for the barbecue (20,000 won) which allowed us to have a barbecue evening after the walk to the waterfall in the snow (the forecourt protects the balcony). The room is as in the photos and the bedding is very pleasant. No problem with the shower. On the other hand, bring water, coffee and salt/oil because this is not available for free. But if you ask, there is one to buy from the owners. Thanks to Trip.com we saved 5,000 won compared to the initial price and the winter and weekday package (Wednesday to Friday) was very advantageous (150,000 won for two nights). Without a car, you will have to walk 16min to the next bus stop and 43min to the train station, plan to travel by taxi to Ganchon station it is only 3,800won. It's a little far from you, but there you go, that's the price of tranquility and nature! To see nearby: - the waterfall (go there by taxi) - the rail road (very fun, with splendid views, departure from KimYuJeong stations) - eat Dalkgalbi in Chuncheon - Dam cafe in Chuncheon
