I loved the lake view from my room, and highly recommend higher floors. The bathtub with the open view was also amazing,the beds were soft and sleek. However,I would not rate this hotel as 5 stars; the decor is quite old with its dark colours, a bit worn out wallpapers and quite old carpets in the corridor. It was very noisy with lots of families and their kids. Buliding 1 has two lifts only and you end up waiting and being squashed in a lift all the time. Coming down to breakfast restaurant was about strange as the lift takes you to the basement parking so one needs to go past the cars unless you want to walk outside the building.The breakfast was buzzing with too many people impatient to que politely. Most importantly, I really feel the front desk service needs a lot of improvement; I understand that nobody speaks English, we can use translators,but noone welcomed me properly and wished me a nice stay: my Alipay and passport only mattered. I was lucky with Xio Qian ( front desk boy) who offered to help and share the information about amenities and trips around the lake. I am very grateful to him. The gym in building 5 was a disappointment; One swimming pool is to be shared between 4 other buildings. Because it rained, the water was quite cold in the pool. Overall,this hotel would suit families and kids mainly,but i would not recommend it to single expats and certainly would not rate it as a 5 star hotel.

I traveled to Qiandao Lake in late August and chose two hotels that were highly recommended. I had high expectations for Minghao and specially arranged to stay in the second one. The result was quite different from what I imagined. First of all, I was very satisfied with the room hygiene and facilities. It is a newly opened hotel. The sanitary napkins and shower room are separated, and the constant temperature shower is good. What I was not satisfied with was that the balcony of the third-floor room was blocked by a half-person-high wall, and the lake could not be seen from the house. Even now, the balcony is not high enough and is blocked by trees, so the view is not wide. It is recommended to choose rooms on the fourth floor and above. On the morning of the check-in day, the housekeeper called and added WeChat, and sent the arrangement of special summer activities and the business hours of various facilities. The content looked rich and colorful, but it was actually very special. Most of the parent-child activities were set up in a booth in the lobby. No one organized it, and no children participated. The form was greater than the content. The outdoor swimming pool that I was looking forward to was far away from the hotel lobby and could not be accessed indoors. It took a long time to walk under the scorching sun. The road was not separated by people and cars, which was very inconvenient, and it was only open in the afternoon. Some vouchers were given upon check-in, but they all have thresholds. The two free ice cream coupons also have a time limit. I didn't have time to use them in the end. I blame myself for not seeing the activity time clearly. The main playground is not as big as I imagined. I personally think it is less than 3,000 square meters, but it is enough to play. Many areas in it have empty shelves, the carousel is not always open, and the ground in the overall walking area is really hard. Five apples were given as souvenirs when I checked out. The attitude of the hotel staff is also very good, but there is always a feeling of being forced to operate, and I can't feel it from the heart. The overall feeling is that they want to build a high-end hotel, but they only achieve the form, not the spirit. It is not recommended for vacation.

As a base for sightseeing around Qiandao Lake, I think the location is good as it is close to the bus stop from Qiandao Lake Station and also close to the sightseeing boat pier. However, there are only restaurants that mainly serve fish dishes around the hotel, no restaurants serving noodles or other dishes, and no supermarkets, so I felt it was inconvenient for shopping. The hotel sold instant noodles for 5 RMB, which was helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and the taste was average, but I was happy that they provided hot coffee. Across the road is a tunnel theme park called the Time Tunnel, and you can purchase tickets at a discount from the hotel. (98 RMB to 80 RMB)

There is a bus to the door at the exit of Qiandao Lake High-speed Railway Station, but you have to walk through the long underground parking lot to the front desk of the hotel. It is very pleasant to drink tea and look at the scenery on the balcony. There is also a stove in the lobby bar to make tea. The atmosphere is full. The breakfast is quite rich. In addition to the regular food, there are also special rice balls and noodles from Qiandao Lake. The taste is pretty good. The hotel facilities are quite complete. There is a warm soup in the indoor swimming pool, a gym, and even a children's playground. It feels like you can play in the hotel all day. The outdoor swimming pool looks good too. I told my friends that I must come again in the summer. What is worth praising is the hotel's cute pet park. In the back mountain of the hotel, you can exercise and feed small pets, including peacocks, small fragrant pigs, small raccoons, etc. The back mountain seems to be an orchard, and the fruit trees are blooming one after another. All 82 guest rooms are designed with Hui-style courtyards, which are integrated with the local culture at the junction of Zhejiang and Anhui in the Xin'an River Basin. Each guest room has its own characteristic vegetation in the courtyard. The housekeeper took it to the door of the mansion, and the lantern with the owner's surname 🏮 restored the culture of the wealthy folk houses in Wenyuan Lion City to the extreme, and the stay experience was instantly enhanced. The Hui-style courtyard of Xin'an Garden, where I stayed this time, adopts a three-entry design. The first entrance uses a traditional key to open the door to see the outdoor courtyard. The traditional wooden house style design instantly brings an immersive Jiangnan vacation experience. The bathroom is large and equipped with a double basin design and a deep soaking bathtub. At a time when cost control of toiletries is popular, it is still adhering to the original intention of using more hygienic small bottles. You can enjoy the hotel's fitness facilities, tour the replica of the ancient city and perform all day. If it weren't for the lack of privacy in the ancient city, it would be a substitute for Amman or Ritz-Carlton Hidden Resort, but the room rate may be only 10% of theirs, how cost-effective it is. In terms of service, three of us checked in, and the front desk took the initiative to arrange for additional quilts and toiletries, greeted us with a smile throughout the whole process, and guided us to introduce the hotel facilities and how to use them, which was very professional. The only two weaknesses are that the quality of the hotel's catering has a lot of room for improvement. During the New Year, the Chinese restaurant only has set meals available and the price of the dishes has increased a lot. The quality of the breakfast ingredients in the buffet restaurant is too low, which is not in line with the hotel's positioning. The swimming pool opens too late, and I hope it will be improved.

The room area is relatively large, the facilities are basically complete, the health is OK, the environment is good, the lake effect is good, the service is quite satisfactory. Overall it is OK.

It was my first time here, and my first impression was that it wasn't very outstanding, but I was impressed by the hotel's small details and services. The room was very comfortable and spacious for the family of 4 of us. Unfortunately the weather was against us and rained everyday whole day during our visit and couldn’t go do sightseeing by foot. The “guest bathroom” drain was releasing a very unpleasant stinky smell throughout our visit. Highly recommend to spend a few RMB and buy the drain smell problem solver (see picture attached). Promise it will solve the problem!! Installed it in all our apartments where we lived in China that had the same issue. Our daughter (and us) enjoyed the playroom even though the a/c systems did not allow warm air to heat the room (setting was on hot= 35 degrees Celsius, high speed, but never went over 15 degrees Celsius). Cleanliness could be looked at, lots of human hair lying around. Reception could possibly take an English course to accommodate non-Chinese speakers, but the language translator came in handy. Breakfast was mainly Chinese like. But good variety, shouldn’t go hungry.

There are many insects, and I encountered four or five ** insects and spiders crawling in the curtains and door cracks. 3. The bathtub can't hold water, so it's a waste of such a large bathtub. I put water in it for several hours, and finally found that the bathtub plug is not firm at all and can't block the water. 4. There is a lot of humidity, and the quilt and pillow have a musty smell 5. The room is generally old 6. The data cable actually needs to scan the code to pay for charging, which is a lesson for me It's a very objective evaluation. I hope the store can see and make some improvements.
