We stayed one night at Loft Mania. The room is clean but dated. The buffet breakfast was good. The parking was adequate. The staff were nice. The check in and check out were quick. We booked directly with the hotel. We got 40% off the room rate from the Thai government program.

We arrived around 10am requesting an early check-in, and the receptionist graciously found us a room. We opted for the deluxe king which turned out to be a corner room, giving us an extra window, which was nice. The downside was that the TV, normally placed where the window was, is now displaced into the corner of the room and smaller than the others. Only Thai speaking channels. The square balcony is nice, with a solid timber table and chair. The room is quite bright, but the bathroom is dark, even with the light on. The king bed is in one piece and comfortable but only one pillow each. The lift is small and very slow (we were on the 5th floor). Breakfast is on the top floor and is pretty ordinary, cutlery is the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere, which I always think, is often an indicator of the quality of the food. The location is good, in the centre of town but set back from the busy street. There is a 7/11 across the road and a Big C a few doors down. The main shopping mall of the town is 5 minutes walk and has a cinema complex, Starbucks and MC restaurant. This mid-range hotel is perfectly adequate for one nights stay but it’s definitely not stand out. I’m giving it four stars.

Stopped by at hopinn chumphon for 1 night when driving down south. Sufficient parking space. Great security as keycard is required to enter the premises. The room was clean and hygiene. Shower is hot with water pressure. Soap and shampoo is provided. However, there is no toothbrush and toothpaste.
The hotel is about 15 minutes from the highway.
7-11 and some local food store are within walking distance.
The price is great for the offering.
Very satisfied with the stay and recommend to all travellers if they need to stop by on the way to south Thailand.

The hotel is located in the centre of the city near the night market and is very welcome and pleasant. However, this breakfast is mainly oriented to Thai, i.e. you will have rice soup, a little pig meat or fish, hard egg, not really a ptdej farang. No toast, butter, confectionery, or orange juice. Just coffee or tea in hot drink. Otherwise the rooms are properly furnished and very clean, with air conditioning, fridge, flat-screen TV, excellent Wi-Fi. The staff is very friendly and try to meet your expectations. In contrast, I who cannot sleep when there is light in the room, I was awake from 6:30 a.m. because the window gateways are not hidden; moreover, we were on the east side. A double-up of the corners to hide light would be desirable.

A bit old but good service and location. I let the hotel know that I will arrive at the hotel before evening and i faced road maintenance and it caused me to be there late. The service team keeps checking with me because i wasn't shown on time.

No doubt, that unconventional things add more bright colors to our life, the same as visiting of uncommon places. With all that said, I can call De Sea Almond Hotel in Chumphon as one of the most unusual hotels we have ever settled in. It’s not just a hotel with a number of rooms, which, more or less, looks the same, no, each room in this hotel is one-of-a-kind one. We were lucky enough to spend one night in the room number three on the first floor, a two-story fort-like room with a big bathtub and spacious balcony with a sea-view, and it we did really enjoy the opportunity to warm ourselves in a hot bath with bubble bath (kindly provided by the hotel) first, and then cool ourselves with one famous cold drink, sitting on the balcony. Just one little advice: start taking hot water into the bath in advance as the flow of the water was water pressure was quite weak. For example, it took us about one hour to fill the bath. Yes, the hotel isn’t brand-new one, at all, and it definitely needs renovation here and there. However, we would be happy to visit De Sea Almond, once again, mostly, because of the vibe of this place.

Had a great time staying at this hotel. A little far from town but the beach was just across a street. Staff were very friendly. Bed was comfortable and there were ample pillows plus bolsters. We stayed in one of the family rooms and it was spacious. Breakfast was ok. But too many flies flying around the bread and salad was a little off putting. Other than that, everything else was fine. They even helped us when we needed to order some snacks, and also assisted in the booking of our snorkeling tour. Overall, very enjoyable stay.

I have stayed at the Talaysai Hotel on and off for 11 weeks over the last 4 months. I have had four different rooms and all of them have been spacious, modern, newly decorated in bright and pleasant colours, and they have all been spotlessly clean. Mrs. Lek, the owner and manager, goes out of her way to make you feel at home and has been a reliable source of knowledge and assistance every time I needed anything or there was something I did not understand, which was quite often 😊 . All of the staff are friendly, positive, and helpful. An extra bonus staying here is the wonderful buffet breakfast every morning, consisting of a wide variation of Thai and Western ingredients and choices. Thung Wua Laen Beach is a beautiful little village and the beach itself is over 2,5 km long and is one of the nicest I have seen in my 35 years of travelling to Thailand. The place is quiet and hassle-free. If you are looking for a place to get away from Thailand’s mass tourism hot-spots and just relax and breath, this would be an excellent choice. I have not left yet but am already mentally starting to miss it and the people. I will be back again in November.

RRick DownerA little village of cute, brightly-painted and spotlessly clean bungalows at an amazing price, just a couple hundred yards from Sairee Beach and a short drive to all the other (and better) beaches of the Chumphon area. Note that it's a Thai-style resort, with a Thai-style bed (beyond firm), and there's no pool here, but a great stopover at an unbeatable price, with a Thai breakfast in the morning.

The hotel is very close to Patong Beach. There are three parking spaces in front of the door and the parking spaces are tight. At most, it is a 2-star hotel, but the price is 540 yuan/night during the festival, and the price is not high.

GGuest UserSurprisingly good little hotel for a 1 night stay. We recently stayed here for a single night while on a Thai road trip to Phuket and for the price, I was pretty impressed. Greeted by a very nice girl at reception on arrival who was very helpful with how to get to local markets etc.. Room was clean, tidy and thankfully, the air conditioner was nice and quiet. It was a quiet place as well. We had breakfast included which my partner had, but I didn't as it was only 1 item and not to my liking (more for Locals/Thai people) but, I expected this so wasn't an inconvenience...given all the places to eat around the area. It's not a destination or special occasion hotel but, if you're in need of a comfortable clean place to stay the night, it's worth looking at.

The road into the hotel is one lane, unable to pass, rather steep.
If there are cars going up or down, it's dangerous.
Parking space is very limited because it is at the foot of a mountain next to the sea.
The accommodation is beautiful. On the day I went, the air conditioner broke, but the staff changed the room. I was very lucky that there was a room available. The staff are very cute. Very helpful.
The number of rooms is not many. I like it. It's not crowded. The view is beautiful.

GGuest UserWir haben im Moonshine Resort nur eine Nacht verbracht, da wir an dem nächsten Morgen gleich weiter nach Koh Tao gereist sind (kostenloser Transfer zur Fähre). Hätten wir jedoch gewusst, dass es hier sooooo schön ist, wären wir auf jeden Fall länger geblieben. Die Zelte, die direkt am wunderschönen Pool liegen, sind ziemlich cool. Sie bieten zwar nicht so ganz viel Platz, aber dennoch ausreichend. Außerdem sind sie klimatisiert. Die Besitzerin ist super nett. Wir sind sehr spät am Busbahnhof in Chumphon angekommen (hier fahren keine Taxis). Sie hat uns an dem Abend noch einen Abholservice organisiert und obwohl die Küche schon geschlossen war, sogar noch ein leckeres Abendessen zubereitet. Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle :-)

SSibStasProbably the criterion for choosing this hotel was the following. On the first line or near the sea we didn't want to look for a hotel because after Samui there will be no best impressions. Bungalo or villa, or maybe just a guest house to take not wanted. We decided to take a small hotel, but with a large pool around the city center. Or not at all in the center because the car is under the hand. Stopped at this hotel. However, it was late and dark, but as usual the gps didn't fail. The only rings in this city are just toys, I just drive them through the dark. then I had to go back. Now about the hotel. The hotel liked, took two rooms on three. Rooms large, light, floor granite or ceramic granite. Beds are large, the size of the king-size. Everything is light and neat. In the room the refrigerator (normally freezing) even the fruit on the upper shelf was caught with ice (the regulator had to dip), the teapot cooking, coffee, cream, water, dishes. The TV is true all channels only local shows, European and especially ours nothing. On the beds the mattresses were much softer than in all previous hotels (even if hotels are above class). Water is only one cold, but on the shower is a stream heater working as a beast on half heating already burning, the leak at the soul has three positions one of them creates just a feeric wind with spray of water, Even in very hot water it cools instantly (just very cool, has not yet faced such a leak work). Breakfast at the hotel is a Swedish table, when settled, coupons are issued. But in the breakfast room no one collects them. There are leaves where the rooms are specified, so there were 5 rooms of them 2 of ours, and the Swedish table is covered as if the whole hotel is now going down for breakfast. The diversity of dishes was quite large from Asian to European food. Breakfasts are very good. The first floor is almost open, three cool photo zones, made in different styles with accompanying attributes (the hats of the type three, soft toys, etc.), a large recreation area with good carpet and soft sofas. At the hotel the large swimming pool 12*25 m. the water is excellent. Because they lived in the swimming pool on weekends, very many locals come to the pool, generally from the morning to 18-00 a full pool of children. Some of the children are professionally swimming without stopping, but most are just barracks. The hotel is near (5 minutes by car) with the night market at the train station. In general, a simple city, a good hotel, friendly people. If we go again, we will definitely go to this hotel after all in the district there is something to look at.

GGuest UserThe price-performance ratio is super high, the room is very big, and it also comes with a small yard, separate parking space, bathroom with bathtub, free breakfast for two, and free swimming pool. It costs only more than 100 yuan per night, which is super! At that time, I was just driving on my way, and I didn't stay for a few more nights. Come again if I have a chance.

GGuest UserIt was a very clean, large room although I could hear our neighbors through the bathroom vents (luckily, my parents were on one side, my daughters on the other). It was cute that they provided a hotpot and milo so we could sample that and also eat some mama cup o noodles. Breakfast wasn’t appealing to my kids’ American appetites - there wasn’t even any fruit. But it was reasonably priced and we only stayed there b/c the Novotel lost power (and I’m not sure the Novotel would’ve been much better!) No soap provided in the bathroom btw!

Towels and water were provided, and hot water came out well in the bathroom. A minor issue was the shower water pressure was not good. The bed was very wide, so it was bigger and more comfortable than a standard double bed. If you are traveling with two people, the price is cheaper than going to a hotel. And the room was spacious, so it was good to organize luggage. The good thing for those who work while traveling is that there is a desk. There was no noisy place near the accommodation, so I had a good night's sleep. The corridor on the second floor of the accommodation looked a bit old, but the facilities inside the hotel room were not bad, so I was satisfied.
