Wingate by Wyndham Christiansburg

Property was dated but overall clean. Breakfast was decent but nothing special.

Wingate by Wyndham in Christiansburg, Virginia. This is without doubt the worst hotel I stayed domestically. They charged about 5 times normal rates for the Virginia Tech graduation dates. The staff at the desk was very rude and did not let anyone check in earlier than 3pm even though all rooms were ready. Internet did not work our whole 4 day stay. No safe in room, plugged up sink, wall peeling, slippery bathtub with no mat or grab bars, so-called Business Center empty without any equipment, no maid service even when asked for after three days, snack shelves completely empty in lobby, electric plugs in room defective, broken chair in room, ants in room. Breakfast service food was empty half an hour earlier than of breakfast time. I could go on and on - this is a bad mark for a hotel carrying the Wyndham name.

Overall, nice experience. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was average. We would stay here again.

You get what you pay for This hotel was pretty basic. Price was right and it's just off the highway. But it's a no-frills kind of place. The room was clean but the hallways had an awful odor. The breakfast was minimal and the staff were there to do their job and nothing else. I guess we'd stay again if needed but wouldn't be my first choice
