Super 8 by Wyndham Christiansburg/Blacksburg Area

The entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke. The sheets and towels are extremely low quality. They are thin, like very very thin. The hotel was way too expensive for the bad experience staying there. I would absolutely not stay there again.

BEWARE!!! …of the Scam the manager Mr Patel and his housekeepers have going on! They put a comforter full of burn holes on the bed in the NON Smoking room I stayed in, then accused us of causing the burn holes and charged me an exorbitant amount for the damage. Cigarette smoke seeped into our NON Smoking room our entire stay. The room rate was double due to an event at the university that wkend. Our experience gets a “Terrible” rating

Absolutely GROSS! Me and my family have been to some motels that were iffy but this was gross. The room reeked of cheap perfume and smoke. The toilet was actively leaking onto the floor, the freezer had brown filthy gunk in it, the sheets had burn holes and the pillows had stains. The chairs were dirty and tore up. Hands down worse hotel we’ve ever been too. Pool was closed and its only August 14th, as you walk by other rooms fumes leak out and its seriously gross. The AC unit didn’t even have vents and there was trash left in the room! We had booked through *********** with a no refund contingency but after showing pictures and expressing concern the manager was willing to refund without a fight which was a surprising relief but i highly suggest going somewhere else!

Amazing property and staff easy check in and clean rooms of smoking and non smoking. Close to so many things. I joined a local gym that is in walking distance and shopped at the mall. This was a great experience

The smell of the hotel forced us to leave. Please note that I've never done this in my life. The front desk person had his bare feet on the office desk that was visible to patrons staying at the hotel.

All of the pictures of the rooms and lobby on the website must be extremely OLD! The lobby couches are torn and dilapidated. The room my family and I were in was gross! The shower was clogged, the tv didn't work, and we had to sign a strict no smoking paper but the room smelled like a whole pack of cigarettes! The appearance made me immediately check the mattress and I am happy to say there were no bugs at least! I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone...unless you like feeling gross in a skeezy joint! Also, it said continental breakfast included but upon check-in, I was informed it is just muffins and coffee from a vending machine. There was riff raff making noise all night so I clearly know what type of place this is. ICKKKKKK.

Walked into a musty smelly room. Turned on AC unit which ran all night & struggled to get to set temperature (never made it). The window has wet mold sitting in the sill (didn't see until morning). Bedding top has "spots/stains" on it. Wall lights were tilted and had different light bulbs. Bathroom walls were gross & icky to the touch. There were "boogers" on the walls in different places & something on the light switch. If you must stay here, bring your own pillows as the 3 that are provided are needed to equal 1 small pillow. They literally have no support at all. This hotel needs major renovations/cleaning/attention. If I didn't arrive so late and could get my money back when canceling I would have. *see pictures*

This is pretty much what you should expect at a Super 8. Helpful people at the desk, clean room, the heat worked. (Thank goodness; I was there on a very cold weekend.) It sits between two shopping malls, so plenty of opportunities for fast food.
