It’s a premier inn. Beds are always comfy, but everything else is always sparse. Bathroom fan wouldn’t be quiet. Rooms a little on the warm side. Wasn’t allowed to have breakfast (it was Christmas Day and didn’t pre book) as I wasn’t told I needed to make a reservation.

Great location, very clean and nice to have a fan in the room as it was hot!! Great service from the receptionists and chamber staff. Super powerful shower and I will definitely book again.

We've used Premier Inn's on a number of occasions, and I can say without question of doubt this Premier Inn is the worst, the staff are rude, the room smelly and grubby, marked toilet bowl, dirty mouldy shower curtain the whole bathroom needed bleaching, the carpets throughout dirty. Breakfast hot food felt rushed - black pudding soggy and greasy, bacon and sausages looked like they had been boiled.

Do not stay here in warm/hot weather. Although it might be cool outside you just cannot get any cool air into your room. Most uncomfortable. The windows are split into two parts. The bottom half only opens 2/3inches, which we know is due to safety. The top half doesn't open at all. If it did, you could possibly get some air into the room. I know you are warned no aircon but didn't expect it to be this bad. Although they supply fans they only move hot air within the room. All the staff are most helpful and the Somerford restaurant serves excellent food. Again all the staff are helpful and attentive. This will now become an autumn/winter stay vacation only.

We are a family of four, two kids - 1.5 years old and 12 year old. We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel in a family room, with a king bed and two single beds that could be pushed together and make a double bed. The room was very spacious and didn't feel cramped. The room and bathroom were fairly clean, nothing that you could point out directly. The bathroom is big, but a little outdated. However, it did the job especially with two kids. The room does NOT come with air-conditioning, and whilst the hotel provided two fans, the room was still at 30 degrees. This was difficult and didn't make much sense, as the weather outside cooled in the days we were there to the low 20s, yet the room was still hot. We sometimes had to open our front door to try and cool the room down, but it didn't make much difference. Also having a shower made the room warmer. We had breakfast with our booking and absolutely loved it. There was something for everyone, from cereals to full cooked breakfast. My youngest has a dairy intolerance and the staff were able to provide alternatives. We also had dinner a few times at the hotel. There was plenty for the kids to choose from and the food was really tasty.

Great reception staff - rooms are typically uniformed but spotlessly clean. Facilities are excellent - breakfast is great as per. New check in system is decent - only thing which lest this place down is the appearance of the restaurant area - needs redecorating - or at the very least the walls need a good scrub.

This is one of the filthiest hotels I’ve ever stayed. The carpets were grubby and the rooms/bathrooms dirty. Unfortunately the Beefeater restaurant attached to the accommodation was worse. Dirty, sticky tables. The whole place was grubby. The corridors smelled musty and unclean. I was really surprised at the rundown state of this place having stayed in other Premier Inns and found them clean and good value for money. Other guests found wet carpets and mould in their rooms and left immediately. This place needs closing and having a complete refurbishment. I felt really sorry for the reception staff who were having to deal with a stream of complaints but did so with grace and good humour. A pity the senior management at Whitbread/Premier inn/Beefeater cannot respond in the same way!!

A little disappointed with the premier inn the decor is tired with cracked tiles in the bathroom, also, lots of cobwebs and dust. The grounds are overgrown and unkempt. The staff were very helpful and polite. Our key card stopped working early on the morning of our departure so we couldn’t get into the main doors or our room!
