This yummy hill youth hostel is one of the overall hostels, which is strategically located in Chongqing city centre. The staff here is so friendly, honest and helpful when i ask them to come personally to the Xiaoshizi metro Exit 9 to guide me to the hostel. I gave an old copy of the Lonely planet travel guide China in English to the hostel for foreign travellers to read. I highly recommend this hostel because it's located on the 9th floor where you have a beautiful garden on this floor which makes this hostel a 5 stars rated hotel. In fact , previously there was a swimming pool here but now due to no maintenance, the pool remained closed and not usable.

I booked 8 beds female dorm and the room is clean, comfy, and spacious! Bed, bedding, pillow are all amazing, solid wooden bed frame - no sound. Great window view too but could hear a little noise from the street - the hostel provides earplugs for free! Also complimentary clean towel, bottled water, indoor slippers. The hostel organise lunch & dinner & drinking event, can ask front staffs for more info. Lunch was great! There’re about 4 cats and they’re super chill. Doesn’t smell at all. Staffs are super helpful, overall many lovely people. Location : take Exit 9 of Xiaoshizi station. Turn right and walk all the way towards a Chinese bank, 9th floor of XinChongQing apartment (新重庆公寓）。

Very soft bed, the location is amazing. The room was spotless, everything from the floor to the ceiling very clean. The staff were friendly. I'd recommend this place for anyone.

The best hostel i stayed so far. Friendly staff, helpfull and have good approach to foreigners.Location is convenient, shower rooms are very comfortable, stayers and staff are welcoming, friendly. You can have fun time in dining area, and socialize.Will come back here for sure🥰🤩👍

Location was fantastic, in the heart of the city, near the metro and shopping malls.

Amazing experience. Although they have 2 different locations, this is by far the most convenient and the one with the best atmosphere if you want to make new friends. People play board games or card games most nights, there are lots of chats and deep bonds formed. The staff are amazing and there is also really great lunch and dinner provided each day. I had a blasting time and would recommend it to anyone in chongqing, travel or not. Now get out there and make some friends and have some fun.

Amazing place, one of the best hostel I've ever been in

The location is perfect. Just outside the metro line 6 and line 1, these two lines connect to almost everything there is to see in Chongqing, the rest is all at a walkable distance from the hostel. The entrance is in a parking lot between multiple banks. And you have to take an elevator to floor 9. There is a large terrace with magnificent views. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds also have their own light and a curtain for privacy. A great option for travelers.

Very convenient location with the "touristy" places being within walking distance. It's located at the 9th floor of the 'New Chongqing Apartment (新重庆公寓)' next to the ICBC bank. If you're a foreign tourist, it's easier to find it through its Chinese/Pin Yin name using GPS (Chi Shan / 吃山). Was also very close to Hong Ya Dong, Liberation Monuments, etc. The only scary thing would be the ground floor of the building because the lobby is kind of worn out but once you reach the 9th floor where Yummyhill/Chishan is located, it's alright. There were 4 really cute and affectionate cats which we loved a lot (especially the white one!! but the tabby one was also really cute). The staff were all friendly and courteous which we really appreciated. On the 9th floor, there is also a rooftop garden that was nice to explore. Room was decently clean and all the necessary amenities provided were sufficient. There is also a common area where you can eat & meet other people! The only downside was that the dryer didn't really work effectively because our clothes were still kind of moist after drying it at top heat for 40 minutes. However this is not too big of an issue & we'd love to come back and stay here again when we come back to Chongqing some day. Thank you!

Nice hostel, with a central location, so it's convenient when visiting Chongqing. The bed was actually comfortable too. Overall the hostel was clean. Also the cats living there are really cute. I probably would come here again if i come back to Chongqing.

Really loved this hostel. Nice big beds. Clean rooms. Modern bathrooms. It had a very good location, perfect to explore all the popular Chongqing sites. Literally on top of the metro station. The vibes are also great. There is a beautiful terrace that you gen access and the staff are all lovely. Probably my favorite hostel in all of China.

I had a great stay at Yummyhill. The girl that did my check-in spoke English and they provided me with an English document with recommendations for transport, sights and restaurants. The room was quite spacious and had it’s own toilet and shower, which was convenient. There is also the possibility to do laundry. It was a bit difficult to find at first, you need to go into a building and to the right for the elevator to the 9th floor. But once found, it’s a very good spot with the subway in front of the door and many restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely recommend people to stay here!
