Chongqing Jiangfeng Yuyue High-Rise River View Hotel (Jiefangbei)

I’d say most people would stay here for the view, which is in fact incredible. Too bad the windows are dirty. In fact everything is a bit dirty. It’s not very clean. There’s many things that are partly broken. My room felt like a small comfortable home. The shower is comfortable, but the “self made” shampoo here turned my hair into rope, so I bought my own. The mattress is so broken my body hurt from it every day. I tried fixing it by turning it upside down, but it’s just horrible. All rooms are on the 43rd floor, which is an interesting experience. There should be an imagine shown for any non Chinese residents, booking through trip.com to show what building to enter and who to contact. There is free laundry service which is much appreciated. Internet gets really slow randomly (4mbps) But it was just fine at other times. There’s no spoken English, which is fine since it’s China, but in the end they didn’t even try anymore and just speak Chinese and signaling quite aggressively which might have not been meant in a bad way, but it kind of does come off that way. The girl managing this was generally friendly. In the beginning she sent me an itinerary. When you get out of the hotel, you can walk right into a food street, which is great. There’s a convenience store nearby too.
