I am surprised by the negative reviews, but now I see they are mostly several years old. There must have been some major improvements, because what I see in my one-week stay in 2025 is that Mansion Azul is really wonderful: - Very safe location on a quiet side street next to the main plaza. - Beautiful, historic interior with covered atrium. - Modern rooms with A/C, hot water, comfy beds. - Clean rooms, bathrooms and lobby. - Rooms contain a safe, which I appreciate! - Super friendly staff, from front desk to restaurant and housekeeping. - Walkable to hundreds of restaurants and museums. - The restaurant was a pleasant surprise - affordable and delicious, with coffee and fresh fruit included in the price. I am glad I stayed here and will definitely come back here on future trips!

This is a beautiful cozy hotel located in the heart of Cholula. Teresa, the front office staff was extremely hospitable and kind. Our room was available before the time frameThis place has a beautiful view. We will definitely return.

Super clean and the location can’t be beat. Room 308 is next to the elevator so it is noisy.

Hotel was clean with ac/heater. Staff was helpful and restaurant had good options for meals. Location was a plus. Most areas were within walking distance.
Felt safe with plenty of police around the zocalo. They had a Christmas market around the zocalo that will last until January 6

The WiFi and the air conditioning was great. The room and bathroom were small and a little rustic but for its location and price the it’s well worth the visit. Spanish is definitely the primary language but we were able to survive with their limited English skills.
