This is a delightful open-air lodge, with wonderful staff and accommodations. The tent cabin was spacious and comfortable. Florence did a great job making us feel at home and handling our schedule. Our safari guide, Sox, was funny, professional and extremely learned in all kinds of animals and birds and had an uncanny ability to track animals. The only (minor) complaint is that the lodge is a ways from the park.

WOW WOW WOW What an amazing experience. We are a family of 4 – 2 grown up kids, stayed in the family room. Plenty of room and you are only in your room to shower and sleep. Eugene and Florian are fantastic hosts, always there to see you off and greet you on your safari return. Captain David – a pure African diamond. His knowledge and eye are to behold. He is very well respected by other guide drivers and you certainly get the benefit of this when seeing animals. Food was yummy – always plenty and great variety. EVL staff are something else – definitely love their job. We stayed for 5 days – this gives you plenty of time to do all activities ; the early 6.30am game drive is a must. The waterhole is a treat and a perfect way in between game drives to sit and watch Botswana nature. We thoroughly enjoyed everything had to offer.

This was our first time in Africa. Driving up to the property on the dirt road, we weren’t quite sure what we were getting into. But once we arrived, we were blown away with the stunningly beautiful property. The layout is great, with a central deck/patio for hanging out and eating meals, and individual tents for guests. The tents lent a cool safari ambiance without actually roughing it. More like glamping, with a full bathroom and nice bed. They brought an extra mattress over for my 9-y-o daughter which was great. The highlights are simply watching and listening to the wildlife from the property (the birds are the best alarm clock). And especially going on game drives/river cruises with the awesome guides. We had Captain David as our private guide on the jeep and on the boat. What a memorable experience. My daughter loved him. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. We saw close to 50 bird species in one day. Not to mention the lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impala, kudu, hippos, Cape buffalo, etc etc! All the staff were wonderful. Food was very good, and there were plenty of familiar foods that my daughter would eat. They go out of their way to make dinner feel special, with lantern-lit tables overlooking the watering hole. This is a one stop shop for accommodations and game drives and river cruises and food — they take care of everything. If you’re looking for a special place that is off the beaten path but still comfortable — with amazing wildlife guides to take you on the jeep and on the river — then I highly recommend.

Staying at Elephant Valley Lodge was a unique and exciting experience. So different than any other accommodations that we had during our 2 week tour. The Tent/Villas were had comfortable beds, wonderful netting and full baths. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful, and the views were amazing. A great place to experience life in the wild!
