Muchenje is perfectly fine, with good food, friendly and knowledgeable guides, and fine views from the lodge and bedrooms. Our room (No 6) was on the small side, and quite dark, with very little space to put clothing/suitcases. We were there for our 40th wedding anniversary - sadly, the lodge manager - Frank - either forgot completely, or made no effort to mark it for us. He did provide a bottle of cava the following night (but with no card/note with a mention of the event), and the next day was covered in confusion with our departure time, with conflicting times (we were given three separate times), and didn't even manage to have the vehicle ready for us when we were due to leave! Unimpressive...... Chobe itself is stuffed with really great game viewing, though, and special thanks must go to Tips, our guide/driver, who knew everything about every animal - great guy.
