We travelled at the end of September for 11 nights staying in a premium adult only room. We had in my opinion one of the best rooms in the hotel, ground floor terrace with own sunbeds opening onto the peaceful grassy area overlooking the sea with the adult only pool and bar only a few steps away. This really made our holiday as relaxing as it could be with beautiful views to wake up to every morning and drinks on our terrace at sunset, no hassle with sunbeds we didn't even need to pack a beach bag as we could sit right outside our room. Well worth the upgrade! We were regularly visited by cats and kittens, they are well looked after and will not bother you unless you encourage them. We are cat lovers so this also added positively to our holiday. The food was very good in all restaurants, as we were there 11 nights we could book 6 visits to the a la carte restaurants however some were only open once a week and we were unable to make reservations for the first 3 nights of our holiday. The buffet had theme nights including Mexican, Asian, Italian which is usual for all inclusive hotels however when I go away I enjoy eating local food which sadly was lacking. The Cypriot buffet and Tree Deck meze restaurant were therefore the only times we enjoyed authentic Cypriot food. My reason for not giving 5 stars and my only complaint about the hotel was the poor drinks service in the Cava bar and buffet restaurant and the very poor quality wine offered on the all inclusive plan. The white and rose were undrinkable, the sparkling was unpleasant and the red just about ok. This was really disappointing. All drinks in the cava bar had to be signed for and you were asked EVERY time for your room number and whether you were all inclusive. Whilst you could order at the bar you were then asked to sit down and your drink was brought to the table, sometimes after a long wait. It was then virtually impossible to get a second drink as waiters were just delivering drinks then returning to the bar for the next order without checking for empty glasses and offering more drinks. In the buffet restaurant they had a hostess who would show you to your seat but that was all she did, you then had to wait for someone to take your drinks order and someone else to deliver it. Staff worked incredibly hard but there were simply not enough of them. There were also staff there simply to clear tables, if you asked them for more water they would then ask someone else to take your order! It just did not seem efficient and was at times frustrating. We had a lovely relaxing time with wonderful weather...sunshine, 30 degrees and barely a cloud for 11 days and would like to thank all the lovely, friendly staff for whom nothing was too much trouble and who are a credit to the hotel.
