Gibbon Bridge Hotel

We had a suite which turned out to be completely different from the pictures on the website. Very outdated and musty the furniture Emeka’s a mix of old and new giving the room a strange look. Bed was very uncomfortable and musty. Outside spaces were lovely but not worth the money being asked to stay.

Great service & excellent food. Really good value, super quick efficient service with a smile. 18 of us with a variety of dietary requirements (gluten free, dairy free, citrus free, veggie) all catered for without any issues. Ellie & Alex were great fun & really made our night.

The quality and charm of this hotel is ageless. I have stayed here several times over the last 20 years or so. It never disappoints. Myself and three friends booked the hotel's one night offer which included a lunchtime sharing platter - an excellent platter! Later we managed an equally excellent dinner. Without exception, staff were efficient, friendly and appeared happy to be working at the Gibbon Bridge.

We have just returned from a night away as a family and had a wonderful stay. Every member of staff we encountered from the ladies on reception to the bar and restaurant staff were all so warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The grounds here are spectacular and well worth a walk round. We spent the afternoon sat outside having drinks and enjoying the stunning garden views. The rain didn't stop us as there is a big canapé to sit under which meant we still got to enjoy the fresh air. I booked us a suite which was lovely and spacious and my kids really enjoyed having their own space upstairs where they could watch tv. We ate both dinner and breakfast here and really enjoyed both. All food was high quality and we especially enjoyed the homemade breads, biscuits, jams and ice cream. Such a treat that the hotel make all this themselves. One thing that particularly stood out to us was the love and care that goes into this hotel, it had such a warm and welcoming feel to it that we didn't want to leave. We would definitely book this hotel again and would highly recommend to other people.

Bed bugs.. beware!! Not 4 star 2 at best Arrived on time around 3pm, tried to charge us £30 for a bed until the receptionist wavered it. Attended room, smelly , stuffy, old and in need of improvements. Bed immediately made you want to itch. Went out for few hours and seen lovely hotels local for cheaper. Felt disappointed with what we had booked. Arrived back at hotel at 7pm and felt uneasy staying at the hotel. Handed keys back in and left. Requested a partial refund as we wouldnt be staying and having breakfast. Refused. Avoid, the hotel is a scam

A birthday celebration which ticked all the boxes! The menu included something for everyone, the location is superb, the restaurant ambience was just what we love, beautiful views, excellent service and amazing food!! My husband couldn’t have chosen anywhere better, just what we needed. So lovely to find somewhere that doesn’t have to pretend to be something it’s not because it really is something! Don’t ever change! Thanks
