Very comfortable mattress and pillows. Small bedroom, and tiny shower room. Noise from kitchen extract fan. Overall a pleasant stay in a beautiful location. Excellent staff. Will book a larger room next time.

Excellent location for Castle Coombe Circuit. Comfortable room, well equipped, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good evening meal and an excellent breakfast. Decent real ale too. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to the race circuit.

First visit in on hot Friday late afternoon , car park and pub very busy but the the barmen (new to the pub) was excellent not just with us but with all the customers , it was a real pleasure to be served by him and prompted us to stay a little longer even though they could not fit us in for Food but will come back as was a nice experience . We also spoke to the Manager who was also very friendly and professional , both the staff were a refreshing in this industry where customer service is not required. Added to the customer service it is a lovely venue.

This is a perfect hotel. It’s absolutely beautiful, the rooms are newly refurbished and nicely done, the pub and restaurant are excellent and the staff are helpful and polite. It’s just down the road from Castle Combe which is one of the most picturesque places I’ve ever seen, there are public walking paths that go all the way to town, and I was given a map to guide me on my long morning walk.

After a 5hr car journey arrived to find no reception available. The lady was busy serving in the bar. Looked in the bar very busy at least 5 deep poor girl serving on her own. When she did get time to book us in for the 3 night stay she asked for the £500+ it would be. Sorry, we pre booked in August 2024 and paid at that time for a Deluxe double room. Told they would sort it the next day. Shown to The Bybrooke room opposite the premises. This room needs updating and broken bathroom door latch and missing thermostat on non working rads need replacing. We changed and went to have some food and drink. Very few staff about for a very busy Friday night. Found a numbered table and had to go to the bar to order. Very busy bar still and same lady on her own working as hard as she could, even visibly sweating . Got to place my food and drink order and as you would, being a guest, asked to charge it to the room. No we don't do that you need to pay for what you order upfront. Strange but had to pay. The fish, chips, mushy peas and sauce were ok. I'm sure the fish had not been freshly battered. As for breakfast, I ordered full English on each of the three mornings. It was different each morning and not very impressive. Very unlike the excellent write up and photos on the website. However its a great location, lovely building and grounds but gives the impression of being a victim of big cut backs on staff all round and that showed throughout our stay. Very disappointed.

This pub hotel is in a lovely location with good food available in the restaurant and really friendly staff. It’s not good if you’re using it for work and need to be up and away early I’m afraid. I found myself unable to get it or the stairwell (door to the pub and reception wasn’t unlocked until just after 7:30). I needed to leave by 7:45 and the only thing I had to eat was a small pastry, literally handed to me from the kitchen. They had told me that buffet would be available from 7:30. It wasn’t. I had prepaid for breakfast to be included unfortunately. It would be lovely I’m sure for a more casual stay but I won’t return for work purposes. If it’s a holiday or walking break, this would be excellent and the food was great.

Siamo stati in questo pub a pranzo, in un gruppo di 7 amici. A differenza di molte esperienze negative avute in zona, siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e cordialità in un ambiente bellissimo, tipico, pulito e curato nei minimi dettagli. Il cibo che abbiamo provato era ottimo, dalla zuppa, al Fish and Chips, alle salsicce, ai dolci. Staff giovane e molto amichevole, soprattutto la giovane cameriera che parla a anche italiano. Per noi è stato il miglior pasto di tutto il nostro viaggio nelle Cotswold!

Resturant was great food was great, didnt stay but beautiful setting in the sun we live 5 mins away but havent used it for years as it was terrible but new owners and great staff, looking forward to the live music in the summer, the whole place has a different vibe
