I stayed at the cottage (Fourth) during Golden Week in May. The cottage seems to have been built many years ago, but it was cleaned and renovated, so I had a comfortable stay. There is a stream flowing in front of you, so you can enjoy nature. Even if the room is a little noisy, you don't have to worry, and it will be a good memory, especially for those with children. The cottage is a little far from the main building and the building with the large bath. It didn't bother me because the weather was good, but it may be a bit of a hassle when it rains. Since I stayed in the building at the front of the cottages, the large bath was actually closer than the main building, so it was convenient. The large bath is small for the number of guests at peak times such as holidays, but the quality of the spring is good and I think it is not too bad. For meals, we had Western food for dinner and Japanese or Western food for breakfast, each person could choose. Dinner was a standard course, but it was delicious. Perhaps because of the holidays, it was a little hectic and orders were not always properly received, but if that was improved, I think satisfaction would increase. The young staff worked hard and I had a good impression. The grounds of Tokyu Tateshina Resort are spacious, filled with greenery, and the negative ions are soothing. It is a historic hotel, but I hope it will continue to be well-maintained and become a resort that will last for a long time. It was a resort hotel that I would like to visit again.

We stayed 3 nights in July 2023 while visiting friends who live nearby. This is a typical Japanese business hotel setup. We had one queen bed with one side of it pushed up against the wall. There was a small desk area - just enough to set up a laptop and various chargers. There was a mini-fridge and hot water pot in the room as well as pajamas. There is a station in the lobby to pick up amenities such as razors, combs, etc. The bathroom is also a standard Japanese business hotel modular style. Nothing fancy but functional. This is the first hotel we've stayed at in years that had an actual key for the room. It took us a couple of days to realize we were supposed to leave the key at the front desk instead of taking it out with us. There is a nice onsen. The women's side has an indoor bath and outdoor bath while the men's has the same plus a sauna. The women's side is accessed with a code you will get on check-in. The breakfast was a highlight of the stay with lots of authentic and local choices. There was some variety each morning. I'd recommend going a bit later to breakfast - the 6:30am start is busy with those going out for hiking and golf. 7am was much quieter. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance if you're around for lunch and dinner. We speak a bit of Japanese and the staff spoke some English as well so we were able to communicate enough. If you're arriving by train, definitely plan to take a taxi from the station. It cost 1400 yen and would be a long, confusing walk.

I was taken care of by countless 4 people. After arriving by car, a male staff member came to bring my luggage immediately. When I chose a room called Sufang (type D), it was beautiful and the open-air bath in the room was large. The large communal bath was quiet, and I didn't meet many people and I took it slowly. The hot spring was also delicious. It was a group plan for more than three people, so there was a bottle of wine. When I chose white wine, I was able to get a pretty good one. Some dinners were not good for my mouth, but they were generally delicious. The stone grilled meat and fresh vegetables were good. In addition, the mushroom soup for breakfast was very delicious with soba porridge and pickled Nozawana. There was a lot of money. There was also a rusc on the coffee, which was also delicious. The green was bright, cool and quiet, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. The staff at the inn are all kind and pleasant. I felt the service spirit that I wanted to cherish the visitors.

I believe that this inn is making various efforts to keep up with the news of the times without worrying about being a long-established establishment. Since it's a large hotel, the rooms come in a wide range of ranks and prices, but the public spaces such as baths, lounges, and dining rooms are all the same, so it's best to choose based on what's important to you. If your purpose is hot springs and food, we recommend cheaper rooms as they offer better value for money. [Room] Since I was traveling alone, I thought it would be OK as long as I could enjoy the hot springs and food, so I booked the cheapest room at Suzuran-tei. However, since it was a weekday in the off-season, the room was empty, so I was upgraded to a room at Seiryu-tei. The room was large and had a great view. Seiryu-tei was very convenient because you could go to the restaurant, take a bath, or go to the lounge quickly by taking an elevator. The Suzuran-tei restaurant I had booked was located in the back, so it might be a little inconvenient, but the view was nice and it didn't seem too bad. [Bath] The service that you can use the private open-air bath for free for 30 minutes is very nice. The private bath also has proper handrails, a shower chair for nursing care, and a table for changing diapers, so that elderly people and people with children can use it with peace of mind. The large public bath and women's open-air bath were also very nice. [Meals] Dinner and Japanese meals were served in a private dining room. It's very nice because you can eat slowly and calmly. Dinner is not the Kaiseki meal that is common at hot spring hotels, but more like ``Japanese-style French cuisine eaten with chopsticks.'' In terms of quantity, it is suitable for women and the elderly, but it may not be enough for men. If you don't have enough, you can add local Shinshu dishes such as horse sashimi a la carte. For additional dishes, you can get a discount if you order from the list in your room by 17:00. [Hospitality] All the staff were very nice. Although it is a long-established hot spring inn in the mountains, it had the atmosphere of a city hotelier. I felt the company's efforts to keep up with the times. [Cost performance] This time I stayed on a weekday during the off-season, so not only was the price reasonable, but I also received an upgrade to the room, so the cost performance was quite good. Tateshina is quite cold in the winter, but if you are planning a trip to mainly enjoy hot springs and meals, we recommend visiting during the off-season as it is very cost-effective. [Access] There is a free shuttle bus that runs regularly from JR Chino Station.

Cospa is the strongest and wonderful inn! Looking at the exterior, it looked a little old ... When I went to check-in at 3 o'clock, the front desk was in line and I said, ”Ah, that's right,” but the room was on the 8th floor Sky Comfort Floor, Actually, I was expecting it very much, but I was surprised at the high level of Star ○ Kai! There are two baths, ”Is this a hit?” First of all, it was normal in the garden bath on the 3rd floor in the building, but it was good because I slept in the sleeping bath, and dinner. When I went to the mountain stream open-air bath, This is so good! The open-air bath is like a Dan 々 field, and there is a large rock in the indoor bath, and there is a hidden open-air bath of Shingen, and it is full of metasilicic acid and is good for the skin. This is the first time for such a variety of buffets, and the taste is good, there is a large visa kiln at the buffet venue, and the pizza baked there! , Delicious! This is also surprising! Also, most of the hotel rooms are too hot and hard to sleep, but my wife said that I could sleep well enough to mistakenly sleep at home when I opened it and went to bed. This attention is nice! Since it has been renewed, everything in the building is beautiful, and it is wonderful that an inn of this class can stay at this price! It's easy to drive for 3 hours, so I wanted to revisit summer summer vacation, autumn leaves, skiing, and various seasons. Also, I would like to visit, so I definitely want you to do your best!
