Un lodge confortable dans un endroit bien arboré. C’est assez incroyable quand on voit que le désert et la roche tout autour sur des km. Très bien situé par rapport au canyon de Chelly. Celui-ci commence de l’autre côté de la route par rapport à l’hôtel. Prévoir de rester suffisamment longtemps pour faire la visite à la journée du canyon. Nous ne l’avons fait que de points de vue en points de vue sur la rive sud. Les panorama sont superbes et l’intérieur semble magique et d’une grande quiétude.

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Canyon de Chelly. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the temperature control in the room was good. There is a restaurant at the lodge which has typical food choices, including the tasty fry bread. It is located just outside the entrance to Canyon de Chelly. The tour we took started at this lodge and the tour was a wild ride! It was conducted by a local native american guide and the tour was absolutely excellent.

Very comfortable. We stayed in room 9. If you can get that, do it. It’s a little single building with a large living area, separate bedroom. The cafeteria on the property is very basic. Bring food with you. Bring water as well since the water there can smell like sulphur. No alcohol allowed in the Navajo Nation. The sights are amazing!

It may be the room they put us in, #10, but it was old, small, run down, poorly appointed and way out of date. They should retire it and make it a store room again. The main door deadbolt would not lock. The AC was a window unit through the wall and was noisy. The bathroom door would not shut properly and the bathroom was in major disrepair. The tub surround had major cracks in it and the sink looked like someone's kid had installed it. It had one small window over the bed and the bed pillows were rock hard. Room did not feel clean. The restaurant is cafeteria style only and is apparently run by untrained employees. Worst room I have rented in 50 years.

My husband and I spent two lovely nights in September. Our room and the restaurant food were fine and we were happy to be so close to Canyon de Chelly where we had a wonderful tour with Adam Teller and the next day really enjoyed rim travel.. I realized the evening after we departed that I had left clothing in a bureau drawer and immediately telephone the Lodge and then followed up with an email describing the items of clothing and indicating my willingness to have the return postage for the items charged to my credit card on file there. Nearly two weeks of phoning and talking with various people I gave up. Housekeeping continually reported no items found in our room and undoubtedly the clothing never made it to the housekeeping office. Perhaps my fault for not thoroughly checking drawers before departure? Disappointing.

All the staff at Thubderbird Lodge were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. As a solo traveler (f), I felt very safe, I enjoyed my room and the bed was very comfy. The rooms feature a fridge, microwave and a coffee machine. Internet was very good. The Thunderbird Cafeteria is right next door, I highly recommend the blue corn pancakes for breakfast! I also could not recommend more the guided tours of the beautiful Canyon de Chelly offered through Thunderbird Lodge. I spent the whole afternoon on the tour and I had the very best time seeing the cliff dwellings, pictorgraphs and the incredible nature of the canyon.

Having stayed here before we knew what to expect. Not an exactly welcoming reception but just the way they are. Room clean but looking old and battered. Comfortable enough for 2 days with room being refreshed every day. Ate in the cafe on site both evenings as could not be bothered to go elsewhere. Very generous helpings with special of the day and economical in price. Although an older hotel - much more character than the other bland looking hotels in town and at the very entrance to the Canyon.

Il Lodge si trova nei pressi dell'ingresso ai due Rim del Canyon. Gestito dalla un gruppo che fa capo alla comunità locale è l'ideale per chi desidera visitare il Canyon con dei tour organizzati da operatori del posto. All'interno del plesso una caffetteria funzionante per i pasti principali ed uno Shop per acquistare souvenir ed artigianato locale. Le camere sono ben arredate e con letti alti e comodi. Bagno pulito.

We stayed two days. We did the Canyon 4 hour tour with Elton. He was great! Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. It is a historic lodge & the price was great for our two queen room. The breakfast was great and in line with what we paid in Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, etc for food. We really enjoyed the trading post and made purchases. They staff was friendly during our stay. We have no complaints.
