We stayed (again) at the Comfort Suites overnight on our way to the OBX. The staff were so friendly and the Hotel was very clean. All our rooms were available at 3 pm, as I had mentioned in my reservation that we might arrive prior to the 4 pm check in time. Our rooms were on the first floor, which I don’t usually like, but here it worked, as we were a large group traveling together and we appreciated not having to wait for the elevator. All the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was pretty good! Loved the Chobani yogurt and fresh fruit. Easy walk to several restaurants and nice views from the balconies. Kids loved the pools. We’ll always consider this for our stop.

Staff was friendly and responsive to requests and complaints. There weren't many complaints. The AC unit in the room was noisy. Maintenance checked it and offered to swap it with another, but most units are noisy. On the last night we had a noisy neighbor. We called the front desk who said they would take care of it. It got a bit better after that. Maybe place signs in the rooms about being respectful to other guests sleeping at night? Shower drain was slow. Iron and refrigerator in room were plusses. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was ok, but convenient and saved us time. The indoor and outdoor pools were great. The location is good and close to main roads and attractions. Overall it was a good stay.

We have used Choice Hotels for years. This hotel is by far one of, if not the best, hotel we’ve stayed in out of this chain. Parking was plentiful. Staff were incredibly friendly. Everything was clean and well maintained. Room was great. But the views….amazing! Most of this band of hotels are located near forests, highways, etc. This one is right beside the Chincoteague Bay. Our room, along with most, face the bay. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the boats go by as well as watching the sunset. Our kids loved the outdoor pool along the bay. There’s a nice boardwalk just outside the pool to walk along as well. Breakfast was great too. A few shops and restaurants are walkable from the hotel. If ever in the area again, will definitely stay here.

Overall, this was a lovely bayside hotel, especially for the price. Here's a breakdown of various aspects of our stay. Location: Excellent. Right off 175, perfectly situated on the boardwalk, and close to restaurants and attractions. Room: Spacious and modern, with thoughtful furnishings (especially a table for breakfast and chairs on the balcony). Beautiful view of the water. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were small and very soft and the bedspread was scratchy. Breakfast: Decent quantity but medicore quality and very few options for dairy free/vegan diets. The ham looked slimy and the only vegan options were entirely carb-based, as there was no fresh fruit or even potatoes. Service: Absolutely the high point of the stay. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and accommodating. Value: Very solid. We paid just under $300 a night for a double queen bay-view room on a weekend in June. It would be difficult to find this quality for the price elsewhere without the hefty deposits required by local cottages.

The hotel is excellent, very clean, with daily maid refresh services. The rooms are modern and spacious. I recommend a bay view room for the sunsets and watching the boat traffic. Good breakfast; served 6 to 11 and cookies in the evening. There is an indoor salt water pool 85 degrees, an indoor hot tub 101 degrees, an outdoor pool, a deck with seating and a gazebo. Very comfortable establishment with friendly staff member. We had an air conditioner issue but I think that was a fluke based on everything else.

Great location, comfortable room. Close to shops, Chincoteague National Park, restaurants and activities. Nice indoor and outdoor pool and fitness room. Breakfast was nice with eggs, waffles, yogurt with 24 hour coffee available. Would definitely stay here again. Staff very friendly

Kudos to the cleaning crew! The place is very clean. The lady at the breakfast buffet is very attentive. Both the rooms and hallway are well-maintained. I wish the rooms were a little wider. Overall, I'm impressed and will likely choose this place again.
