We really enjoyed our stay at this ryokan. Many thanks to the owners for a wonderful experience in a traditional hotel!
We were met at the station and taken back when we checked out. Upon check-in, they gave us all the necessary information, gave us a yukata and haori, hot water, tea and delicious cookies.
The room is warm and has a beautiful view, the room itself has a traditional interior, the room is warm. At the same time, the room has a toilet and sink, a safe, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, air conditioning, futons, a TV. It is cool in the corridors, but all living areas are warm.
The traditional dinner and breakfast are delicious, we liked the variety of dishes.
The onsen is clean, you can only wash in one room with it, but it has everything you need to get yourself in order. There is a bath outside and inside. There is also a private outdoor onsen for an additional fee.
We managed to catch a performance from local residents, which was interesting and unusual for us.
You can take bicycles for a walk, next to the ryokan there is a cork shooting range, foot baths, many cafes and a small castle on the mountain.

旅館環境很好,服務員可用英語溝通沒有問題,溫泉環境良好,個人喜歡傳統古舊的旅館,食物方便做得精緻,有機會再去都會入住,值得推薦。

The food is bad. It seems to be creative Japanese food, but it's not tasty because it's too focused on appearance. Natural pickles and local cuisine are good, so it's better to have something tasty.

The hotel owner and the landlady are kind and friendly, and the service is excellent. The food and hot spring pools are good. They provide free pick-up service from Tokura Station to the hotel. The hotel is a wooden building with a sense of history. The facilities are a bit old, but they are sufficient for use. It is close to The Chikuma River not far from the hotel is very beautiful, especially around sunset.

The room smells like mold, there are spider webs in the corners, and there are black caps in the toilet and sink. The bathroom was also dirty which was very disappointing.
The women were very responsive and had good customer service, but the young foreign husband was not very friendly, which was a shame.
I think the food was good in volume and taste.
However, if you ask me if I want to go again, I probably won't go.

We had a truly wonderful summer stay at this ryokan, which felt like a peaceful rural retreat with warm hospitality, great food, and memorable experiences throughout. From the moment the owners picked us up at the station, we felt well cared for—our first evening included a delicious multi-course Japanese dinner with local craft beer, and after dinner, our room was transformed into a cozy sleeping space with futons on the tatami floor. A nighttime stroll revealed charming old-fashioned shooting games and a nostalgic local atmosphere. The next day began with a tasty breakfast, and thanks to the hosts’ helpful advice, we rented e-bikes from the local information center and spent a beautiful day exploring countryside routes lined with vineyards, orchards, and temples. After another superb dinner and soak in the private hot spring bath, we slept soundly, already feeling grateful for such a relaxing and authentic experience. We highly recommend this ryokan for anyone looking to enjoy a slower, more personal side of Japan
