The Hotel "La Lanterna" is a beautiful multi-story building, located near the cable car (Bernina Alpe Palù), in the church of Valmalenco. I called to find out information and prices, the owner Mr. Gianfranco answered me immediately, very kind and very courteous, we ask to stay 2 nights, we will pay upon our arrival, without problems. being the week of August 15th 2024, unlike all the other hotels contacted, Gianfranco does not impose the obligation to do a minimum of 3 nights, but he welcomes us with his wife in a very polite way. with them at breakfast we talk about everything, from the trips undertaken, to art, to the love for walks and the wonders of Valmalenco. excellent management, very nice and clean double room, top welcome and courtesy. At the time of check out, talking about our dog, Mr. Gianfranco also gave us a doggy bag for the puppy, even though he didn't stay with him during these days, THANK YOU August 2024 holiday

Family cuisine and with typical local dishes, pizzoccheri much appreciated, but also the polenta with braised meat was very good and to finish even a variety in the choice of the meal closer.
