Very good location. Easy to go everywhere. Specious room

The rooms are super clean, and the location is right by everything, from bars, restaurants, the river walk. Also, the hotel staff was phenomenal. We need help with a friend and they assisted us without any complaints, and told us to reach out if we needed anything else.

I had a wonderful experience celebrating my 35th birthday at the upstairs terrace! Ray was exceptional in walking me through the set up and options, and the day off everything was ready and perfect! I want to thank Kayla from the bottom of my heart - she was incredibly attentive, proactive and helpful throughout the entire night, going above and beyond, and I could have not asked for a better service member to be there for us! I will definitely celebrate here again, my guests loved the special atmosphere and intimate setting!

My check in with Luigi was outstanding. He was very helpful ,courteous and professional. Great extracted a long day of traveling. He answered all my questions and gave me a few suggestions for dinner and actually suggested a drink at the bar to start the evening

My experience was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere of refined elegance. While the hotel itself offers stunning amenities, luxurious rooms, and prime location. I must single out one individual who truly elevated the entire experience- Russell Zwolinski, the concierge. His attention to detail, dedication, and commitment to going above and beyond were truly remarkable. I had a complex dining request that involved securing reservations at one of the highly sought-after restaurants in Chicago. Russel was undeterred. Russel maintained open communication with me throughout the entire process. His persistence and professionalism were key to making the dining experience a success. In an industry where customer service can often feel impersonal, Russel's efforts were a refreshing reminder of what true hospitality should be. he made me feel valued and ensured that every detail was flawlessly executed. The Gwen Hotel is an exceptional property, but it is the dedication and passion of team members like Russel that make it truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return for future stays!

Beautiful hotel, great patio, and the service at the restaurant “Upstairs at the Gwen” had great service! As luck would have it, Meredith was my server every morning for breakfast she was excellent! By the third time I ordered the same breakfast she brought me my latte with a “3” in the latte art! It was a very sweet touch!

The green is in a great location. We are here for a work event with a mid sized group and they have been lovely to work with. Luigi made checkin seamless. He was so kind, helpful and proactive it really got our trip off to a wonderful start! 10/10!

What a great hotel! Conveniently located to the L in the heart of the city. We were greeted by LuiGi who checked us in and welcomed us to the city. He was amazing - offered restaurant recommendations and helpful tips to get around the city. The upgraded room was beautiful. We would definitely love to come back and explore the city! Great hotel! Top notch service! Was in town for a conference and arrived at the hotel late due to traffic. Luigi was the best! He answered all my questions, gave me directions around the city, and made sure everything was promptly taken care of so I could get to my conference on time. I will be staying ant The Gwen every time I need to travel to Chicago.
