Royal Panerai Hotel Chiangmai Reviews

The hotel is in a pretty good location, just a few steps from the old city, and the famous gate, and the central Temple. If you travel by car, there are several parking spaces. There is a 7 eleven store nearby, just around the corner, but it is very small. The reception is more or less well decorated, in the morning you can drink complimentary coffee. The elevator does not work well, the doors squeeze visitors. The room stock itself is very tired. The noise is very high, you can hear everything that your neighbors do. The TV does not show the channel clearly. The wifi level is good, the Internet worked stably. When checking in, you will be asked to make a deposit for the key, 200 baht, cash only. The hotel may have a good future again, but now it is very tired and needs a major overhaul, which I wish the owners and managers of this hotel to do, because the name does not match the interior at all.

Everything is fine in my hotel, not too good, the rooms are big but the boys who stay in the morning were not good. The rest of the lady staff was very good.

Hotel appearance is great. But the room smell is not good though

Pros: - The cost is budget-friendly. - The room is clean and spacious enough for comfort. - Staff are friendly and welcoming. - Close proximity to the old town. Cons: - The entire hotel feels so old and could use some major renovations. - No hairdryer or slippers are provided in the rooms. - wi-fi connection is OK but not stable.

The photos make it appear much grander than it is. If you are okay with that, and if you travel in Asia often, then you will love it. Sadly, while I was there, a fire destroyed the 7/11 across the street, forcing us all to walk 100 meters to the next nearest store. I hope they are able to make repairs soon.

While the hotel is adjacent to the Skytrain, unless you are going to the airport and back, that particular line leads nowhere, and you will have to transfer to a bus or find another means of conveyance to reach your destination anywhere within Bangkok. I often took taxis or Grab cars- which wasn't too bad, airconditioned, and not at all expensive. Sadly, while I was there, a fire destroyed the 7/11 across the street, forcing us all to walk 100 meters to the next nearest store. I hope they are able to make repairs soon.

The hotel location close to the old city with valuable price

Amazing value for money, and way cheaper than similar hotels. Room was very modern, with a great bathroom and shower. Minimal complaints about the hotel itself.

I stayed there over 2 weeks and I satisfy with general aspects. The room service and facilities are slighly different by room type and price range. The house keeping staff on 5th. floor was a bit inpatient and shown her bad behaviour when I requested to change my bed sheet after 5 days of my stay. I actually did not ask for a singal complete room service during my long stay. I stayed self efficiently and changed the trash bag every two days by myself. I only asked to sweep the floor and change the bed sheet once but she seemed not happy with it. Except from that moment she was fine with other issues. Generally all the other staff are helpful althought they are busy. I quite enjoy the panoramic mountain view from my room's balcony. If I can get the same position of that room, I will definitely stay again there in next time visit.

Great location,near the Old City,there are several restaurants nearby and a 7 Eleven right next door. The room had somewhat dated decoration and equipment, but it was clean. Overall, it was good value for money, I'd definitely stay there again on my next trip.

Beautiful mountain view as requested, spacious and walking/short distances to places. Hardy wood furnishing except a chair sitting bit shaky.

hotels room facilites as all expected little bit out of town but its ok only 1 km walk in hot is fine but great place clean and good facilities

Amazingly unique hotel in Chiangmai old town, would recommend to my friends. Can take many fun Instagram-style photos. Staff are super nice too
