This is my second time staying here. It is my go to location to stay when I’m Chiang Mai
Always clean safe and convenient
Last time no cockroaches. This time ( I was in the same room last December 2022 ~ no cockroaches last December 2022 but this time 6 cockroaches nearly the size of the palm of my hand. Each time I went to front desk. The clerk quickly comes and catches the slow moving cockroach. Perhaps a catch and release away from premise?
Because of the cleanliness and safety and convenience I tolerated the uninvited guests. What ever they use to mop the floor works! A few hours later or the next day I would find one or two upside down dead cockroaches in the bathroom or near my bed.
Note: if you rent a motorcycle be sure you have an international drivers license. The police will pull you over and issue actacfyc violation then help you native with google nails to the traffic court office. Very quick. Take a number. Show your ossspirt wait your turn and pay 500 baht. The receipt is good for 3-4 days. I paid 200 baht per 24 hours to rent the motorcycle so it cost 700 plus I added 50 baht for gas. Live and learn. Worth the drive. Saw so many new sites in Chiang Mai!

100% I recommend Chiang Mai to visit and sk 1 house to stay. I only had a fan in the room after an hour or so, the room temp was totally comfortable.
If you are looking for ambiance. This is the place.

I came to this hotel by chance, I wanted to book SK house-2, where I had been before. What can I say, they are similar in Sk-1, the general territory is more interesting: it is more diverse, the courtyard is decorated in a traditional style, there are various rooms for relaxation. But the room is just terrible. Visually it is more or less, but very cramped, dark, stuffy, the fan does not help at all, it is difficult to sleep. There is no such problem in Sk2, there is a large room and a normal fan for the same money.
The pool is ok, but it seems a little dirty. The area by the pool is not particularly beautiful, just a pool, the sun hardly gets there either.
The decoration of the hotel, corridors, and rooms is interesting and colorful. But it’s still strange to have a window with access to a common corridor, and a rustic door without a window to the balcony. The balcony is easily accessible from a neighboring room or a shared terrace, which forces it to be closed at night. This makes it even more stuffy. Only one light bulb in the room. Very dark. Location is in the city It's not difficult to find. There must be a problem with checking in. They told us there was no name in the system and the wait was very long. I've stayed here twice before. For the price you're not gonna get much better. Roms are large and cosy, even though the paint is aging. Lovely decor. Nice pool. Bar spots all around. Friendly helpful staff. I really like it
