Sabuy Chiangmai

This is really the most shocking thing for me in Thailand, whether it is Bangkok, Phuket, or Chiang Mai. It can only be regarded as a hostel with a private bathroom, but there is no reception counter. It reminds me of the suite I rented when I was in college 36 years ago. Everything in the room is really old, and it is very old again, like an old house in Taiwan more than 40 years ago. The service staff is really great. For European and American tourists, it may feel very retro and fresh, so the reviews are all very good. I also booked it based on the reviews, but I almost fainted when I saw the room. The wooden bed squeaked when I moved on the bed. There was no safe. Fortunately, Chiang Mai is simple and safe, otherwise things would be easily stolen. I always carry my passport, cash, credit cards, and a large key ring when I go out, because the door is just a *horn lock*, which is too easy to open, especially at night, with no one guarding it. Fortunately, I only stayed for two nights. There are many good hotels nearby to choose from, and the price is not much more expensive. Unless you are a nostalgic person with a limited budget, I really don’t recommend it...
