Excellent location (just 3 mins walk to the gate and 7-11) but the alley is quite narrow for the taxi to drive in. Sunday walking street is right in front of the hotel but it was difficult to find the way home because the alley entrance was sheltered by the tents
Swimming pool is to tiny but cute.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was very clean and very near to Sunday night market (right outside the hotel). The breakfast was great as well. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly. Will definitely come back here to stay again!

Wonderful stay at Por! The cat (Foo) was an added bonus. My partner and I looked forward to the breakfasts everyday, as they were some of the best we’ve had in Thailand. We felt like this hotel had excellent value for money and we had everything we needed - the location was ideal, pool was refreshing, staff were extremely kind and showers were strong. Rooms were clean and we appreciated how eco-conscious the space was (i.e. refillable water dispensers, compost bins). We would happily stay here again if/when we return to Chiang Mai! :)

I don’t normally do reviews…but…I thought POR Thapae Gate was really just a sweet place. Quiet, off the main road, but central to everything. They’ve created a truly calming environment all around. Great, helpful staff. All the little details other reviewers mention. And ok so I’ll also admit I’m biased because breakfast is my absolute favorite meal of the day - and wow! Their breakfasts are amazing! - they had everything you could want - and things you didn’t even know you wanted! Delicious. No doubt my new go-to when I’m in Chiang Mai.

A fantastic staff who are super friendly and helpful.
A wonderful breakfast selection as well as water and fruit available throughout the day
Only drawback was the room was tiny with room for basically one piece of luggage, no closet, tiny balcony no chairs!

Hotel located in the old town and have access to many amenities. The hotel interior is modern and well maintained. The only issue is parking if you have a car. There is no parking at this hotel and you have to park along a busy street nearby.
