I have been a Diamond member for years, and have a degree and past profession in the hospitality industry, and this property has some things they could improve on. Positives: Room was clean, AC worked great, front desk staff was nice, and attempted to make things right. Restaurant staff was nice, but didn't have the full customer service approach. And, the evening bartender was nice, too. Negatives during my visit: Room fridge froze my soft drinks, which ruined them, and the hotel store did not have any diet drinks. When I went to the desk to ask for a replacement, they did not have any in the store, and I asked about the bar fountain drinks, and was told they didn't have diet soda. They did end up on my last night offering me a coke zero to replace one of the sodas that was ruined in the fridge (another positive). Room: Wallpaper and bathroom very outdated. A few of the lights in the room did not turn on. For the love of the Lord, please bring back daily housekeeping!! Just having new towels and taking out the trash, and making the bed would be awesome! Hotels have stopped doing this, but they still charge the same prices, and back in the day, you got daily services!! Breakfast: It was HORRIBLE! (They had omelets on the board, but were not offering them that day) I asked for fried eggs white, which confused the first person I asked, and then the cook figured out what I was asking for. When they gave them to me, they were yellow, because of all the oil they used on the griddle. I took one bite and had to spit it out. It tasted like a dirty griddle and straight oil. I also asked the server if they had diet coke, which they did (but the day before, the desk told me they didn't), so that was my only beverage for my very expensive breakfast. When she brought me my check, I signed, gave my tip and she walked off. Then she came back to me and said that she forgot to ring up the FOUNTAIN diet coke. And, I was charged like $3 for a diet coke. I mentioned to her that I didn't agree with that charge, and told her about the frozen coke zero incident (she could've cared less) and I just signed the bill. I worked from the lobby and went back to the server and asked for a refill for my diet coke, and she told me that since I left the breakfast are, it wasn't free, but she would refill my FOUNTAIN drink (in a small cup) but couldn't do it again. Like, really?? It is a fountain machine, and I didn't drink your juice or coffee! And, I told her about my frozen/ruined drinks and that the store had no diet soda. She just looked at me. Evening Bar...well, if you want to call sitting at a counter top, with no place to put your legs, a bar...The server was sweet. The red wine was HOT, not room temp. They keep it in a glassed cabinet and it just cooks in there with no ventilation. Then the drink selections were very minimum. Ice machine on my floor didn't work the entire time, and the desk led me to believe that that is not a surprise. Charging units in the lob
