Concorde House Luxury Apartments - Chester

We where disappointed to say the least with the condition of the property and very disappointed with the fact it was a basement apartment ( which was never mentioned) on arrival we found it dirty and dark . We had to stand on a chair to open the blinds and stretch whilst on that chair to open the window to let the musty smell out. As part of my working life I have to conduct risk assessment,s with this in mind this is unacceptable We went out for a walk when we returned we wanted to shower before we went for dinner, as I stepped into the shower it was running cold so I reached in to adjust I could not realise hot water I then had to find the boiler it was switched off so I messaged to ask if it was off for safety reasons having no response and knowing gas safety would have isolated it I started the boiler and we had hot water. Having some time we looked more around the apartment we found dirty food covered cutlery and crockery as the bed only had a bottom sheet placed on the mattress we looked more closely no mattress protector also looking under the bed we found dirty sheets. The fridge had dirt in the seal,s the freezer had things you wouldn't expect to find in a freezer all the furniture was old , worn and damaged . In my opinion the flooring has not been cleaned for a long time ( I can get out of a shower at home and with damp feet walk across our hard flooring and not get dirty feet ) it is far from luxury.

When we arrived we were disappointed we had to go out to get some food shopping when we returned we had a good look round fridge freezer was dirty and things left in the freezer that shouldn't be in there to start with, currently and crockery had dried food on the furniture was damaged and stained. The window,s and blinds can not be accessed without standing on a chair ( I have to carry out health and safety assessments in my working life) this is a huge issue, this is because they are basement apartment,s which is not evident in the description going through to the bedroom the bed wasn't very well made just a flat sheet over the mattress not tucked in no mattress protector although the mattress was clean we looked under the bed and found dirty sheets. We decided to shower to go out for dinner, I turned the shower on got ready as I stepped in it was cold I re-adjusted the temperature but to no avail I found the boiler it was switched off I tried to contact the owner to ask if there was a reason for it being off AGAIN!! to no avail I considered if a qualified gas technician had inspected and deemed it unsafe he would have isolated it so I switched it back on and it worked ok . I also don't think the hard floor has not been cleaned because I had to was my feet again and put my shoes on before leaving the bathroom all in all one Star is one too many.

We found this apartment quite good value for money. Yes, it's a basement apartment, but that is reflected in the price we paid. It's in a brilliant location for the city centre, and there's a nearby carpark at just £7 for 24 hours. The owner sent us clear instructions on how to use key entry, etc. The only downfall was a slight smell in the bathroom due to it being a basement. I guess maybe a nice bathroom freshener would be sufficient? And the pillows could be better quality, as they were a bit thin. These are only minor things to adjust and would enhance one's stay.

This is a very basic BASEMENT apartment, there is a small window in the lounge, and a small window in the bedroom. The pillows were the very thin, we had to go and buy proper pillows, no cutlery available, and we had no sleep due to a machine that kept operating during the night. I would suggest you look elsewhere.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY. Stayed in December and could not get the hearing to come on. No support from the owner or **********. Came home a day early but refund for last night refused by owners. Bathroom stank and room was a basement. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Great location and modern apartments. Would recommend for pleasure or business. We stopped over in august 2023 and found the apartments very clean and modern. I particularly enjoyed Apartment number 3 which had a separate Living-room and bedroom
