Had a lovely 2 night stay here, we came up for the race meeting on the Saturday, we chose Chester Court Hotel based on reviews and were not disappointed . We had a lovely modern room at the front of the hotel with breakfast included, there's lots of variety to choose from and the staff are lovely The hotel itself is on the Hoole road, which is a stones throw from the city centre You could easily walk it if you're feeling energetic, but we had a taxi which cost around £7 There's a bus stop opposite the hotel that goes into the centre also and if you want to venture into Liverpool the bus stop is just outside Cheste is a beautiful place which fantastic architecture We'll definitely be back next year

3 night stay in July, great location, ideal for visiting Chester City centre and beyond, bus stops not far from guest house. Booked for partners birthday werkend, on arrival met by a really nice gentleman, shown to a lovely spacious room, nicely decorated and a few nice touches, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, bed was huge and so comfortable, I slept really well, bathroom was fab, shower and jacuzzi bath which was a godsend after sightseeing all day xx Breakfast was buffet style and really good, lots to choice, from a continental to a full English, really enjoyed the scrambled eggs on offer, cooked fresh to order. All staff welcoming and polite, I would happily return for a repeat visit.

What a little gem this guest house is. Beautiful accommodation and in a great location. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Shame we only booked 1 night. Didn’t want to leave. Booked an executive double en-suite room. Had a fridge and a microw

This was a last minute booking so I didn't know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised and happy with my stay. The room was spotless and the bed beautifully presented and comfortable, the shower room was very clean and well maintained. Tea and coffee items, water, biscuits, crisps and even some chocolate were set out for me. The staff were lovely; I met the owner Ray and also Trudi on reception, and they were warm and friendly. Breakfast was super, consisting of a large array of all sorts of good things, something for everyone. There was fresh fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, pastries, cooked English style breakfasts and continental meats and cheeses. There was also a bright, warm welcome from the waitress when I came down in the morning. Thank you for a lovely week!

Marked this B&B down to 4 rather than 5 as the guy who hands out the keys, although informative, is rather unpleasant. The facilities are great but the breakfast not so great. Plenty of choice, but the grapes in the fruit bowl had gone well past their best.

A very comfortable guest house. Rooms always spotless. It's location is not at all far from the town of Chester with a bus stop virtually outside including one to Liverpool if required. Breakfast was always good with a choice of scrambled or fried egg, serving yourself to bacon etc, otherwise a selection of cereals, fruit and a continental breakfast was always available. I'm please that I made the correct choice of where to stay.

How this place is number 2 in Chester is beyond me. Or maybe my husband and I have become too fussy! It is a good location for a 20 minute walk into Chester and Chester is an absolutely great City. The Guest House was very old fashioned decor and absolutely reeks of sickly ‘plug ins’ - all over the hotel. I had to take the one out of our room and leave it in the hall. It is not pleasant to have the room smell like a cinnamon doughnut factory! It was genuinely overpowering 🤢 Our stay was part of a motorbike tour of Wales (north, west, mid and then back up north) and this place was the most expensive. When we got back from a night in Chester my husband asked the receptionist if he could get a brandy anywhere. She kindly went to get a bottle and then rang the hotel owner to ask how much to charge. It was Courvoisier (which isn’t an expensive one) and my husband was flabbergasted to hear her ask the owner “How much for a double?” - which it was not. “£12” came the reply. He questioned it and she said “That’s what he says” so hubby just paid, as he felt awkward because she’d gone to the trouble of getting it. The same brandy was £7 for a double at a hotel we had stayed at a few nights before. Our room was listed as a Deluxe Executive Double Ensuite, but we couldn’t see how this differed from a Double Ensuite, as the room we had was in the picture as a Double Ensuite. The room was very noisy. as on our nights stay there was a group chatting and laughing very loudly until about 11am. The room was extremely warm and there was no fan provided (as had been in others we had stayed in) We couldn’t open the window, as the road was noisy. The Ensuite was clean but the shower sounded like a jet engine taking off! Breakfast was chaotic and felt a very rushed affair. There appeared to be plenty of items both cooked and continental. It was very much self service even having to get your own cups (without saucers - but not a mug) but you were served tea and coffee at the table - it was a bit odd. You also had to get your own cutlery. Although when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady, who told us all about the area. However upon departure there was no one around to talk to about our experience. Overall the place felt like it was stuck in the 1980’s and we wouldn’t stay again.
