Table booked for 6, arrived on time to find the place very busy and very obviously understaffed with only two front of house staff on duty. Looked for table but could not find the booked table, 2nd time this has happened in the last 4 bookings. Fortunately a booth of six became available after about 5 minutes of standing around, and we jumped in before any other group could get it. Had to clear the and wipe down the table before being able to seat ourselves. Placed order which was okay, downhill from that point I'm afraid. Half the meals came out and had obviously been under the heat lamps for some time, no more meals appeared so after about 10 minutes or so, we noticed that the two front of house staff were both serving on the bar and taking more food orders, at this point a chap from the kitchen came out to inform the front of house staff that there was a backlog of food to serve., he appeared to get short shift from the red haired lad on the bar. We then had to wait in the queue for a further 5 minutes to advise them that only half the people had been served on our table, by this time the other half had finished eating and still no further food !!! The young lady who was front of house suddenly realised the kitchen had not been serviced for a long time, she dived in to the kitchen and appeared with the other outstanding meals, strangely all luke warm at best. I think you get the idea by now, and the really sad thing is that we did not even get a sorry about that guys run off our feet etc, just ignored. Have to say the young lady was very active in trying to pull everything together, serving delayed meals and collecting empty dishes, the other chap, mentioned earlier, seem to "lack" the same enthusiasm and moped about behind the bar even with no one to serve. Understaffed at lunch time and at half term with more staff in the kitchen than on front of house duties, asking for problems if you ask me.
