My wife and I had a great time at the inn! Very nice restaurant and staff! Our room was lovely and just what we needed after a day of antiquing in Chester. We will definitely be back

Lobby was the best thing this hotel had going for it. Old- Dated- in need of serious attention. Exterior is in poor condition. Carpet up the main stairs and in room was dirty and worn. Bed spread was old and looked to be some sort of faded chenille material. Room was so musky and air was thick with humidity. Do not stay in room #10. Tiny room- Old- dark- musky and dirty carpeting. Balcony and furniture off the room was filthy and in very poor condition. Owner, Rob moved us to a different room, that he called a suite. Grateful for hardwood floors in the “suite” verses dirty carpeting but the bathroom had paint peeling off the walls and ceiling. Not sure how this hotel could pass a local inspection by building and codes. The Owner should stay in room #10 to see what he has his guests subjected to. Do Not stay here…hotel needs to be closed for major renovations and not open to the public.

We booked two nights in a King room with porch access for over $200 a night ( paid one night deposit in advance. We knew the Fullerton from many years ago and it had always been the “Crown Jewel” of Chester. We were saddened to see how poor the place now looks. We were forewarned by the owner that breakfast was small ( didn’t experience this) and that “although they clean the porch every day there may be some pollen on the furniture” I guess he was managing expectation……but even so we’re weren’t prepared for what we found when we climbed the gritty and worn out stairs to our room. Basically the room was tired, dirty and uncomfortable. The thought of sleeping there made us itch, and the toilet was gross. We had imagined sitting on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening, (bearing in mind no air conditioning or TV in the room) - but no way could we sit out on that porch! The photos attached give an idea of why we decided to forfeit our deposit and leave after 10 minutes. We explained the reason for our departure but the owner either didn’t care or genuinely believed this standard was acceptable to justify a $200 a night price tag! We were not charged for the second night but there was no offer of refund for the night we had already paid for. We have since found that the place is for sale - which might explain the lack of interest in making any effort to cultivate a positive reputation or any repeat business.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely Inn, it was quiet and the owner was welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Our youngest especially enjoyed the checkerboard in the lounge

An extremely nice place to overnight. There was no TV, as I knew going in, but that’s the only possible objection anyone could have. It was a perfectly clean, perfectly comfortable room in which to read and rest up. The very good on-site restaurant is a pleasant bonus, as is the unobtrusive but exceptionally competent staff. I’ll be staying there again.

I was more than pleased with my stay at The Fullerton Inn. The Inn itself was very nice, clean, comfortable, inviting, relaxed atmosphere. I believe I may have interacted with everyone there other than the kitchen staff who prepared many tasty and plentiful meals. Try and save room for their desserts, you won't be disappointed. As for the rest of the staff, engaging, pleasant, professional, and enjoyable to interact with, including, Rob the proprietor, all were most welcoming.

Classic historic Inn experience with lounge/ fireplace, dining room and bar. On historic main road with cottage style shops. Lovely town. Good service and friendly staff. Rooms are on the older side. Good price point and close to ski slopes. So perfect for me. Friendly management and staff. Would return.
