The hotel did not live up to our expectations. The lobby is small and has no ambience. The outside areas are also not well maintained. The fountain at the entry was not working and the resort lacks in greenery and ambience. There was no welcome drink and even though the front desk staff knew that it was our wedding anniversary, we were not even wished let alone any special treatment. They just pitched their paid services to celebrate our day. We had booked the Waterfall Deck Suite. The layout of the room is poor with no space to keep our stuff. The balcony feels cramped and small. The bed linen was dirty and so we asked for it to be changed. The housekeeping service was slow and dull. All the sheets they arrived with looked dirty and were crumpled and not ironed. Finally we had to settle with a somewhat clean but crumpled sheet and similar dull pillow covers. The service is slow and poor. For two days there were dirty glasses and trays lying in the corridor. The staff is only interested in selling their spices, condiments, books etc kept in the room. The High Tea which was complimentary was truly hopeless. There was lukewarm tea, some namkeen and dry sandwiches. No cookies even after request. The restaurant was a bit better with some attentive staff. The food was good which was the only saving grace. There is live music and a bonfire in the evenings at the restaurant. The Hotel asks for full payment beforehand, at the time of booking, but fails to provide good services for a comfortable stay.
