I've never written a review before, but the hotel staff were so friendly that I'm writing one.
I booked a hotel near Chengdu East Station to go to Jiuzhaigou. It's about a 5-7 minute taxi ride.
I stopped by the hotel in the morning to store my luggage, and even though it was before check-in time, they said my room was ready and let me check in right away. I was very impressed with their flexibility. I also really appreciated how attentive and willing the staff were to my needs. (For your information, I'm not fluent in Chinese.)
The next morning, I checked out early to go to Chengdu East Station, and it started raining. They even held an umbrella for me in the taxi and escorted me there. I'm so grateful for the friendly staff.
