Chengdu Chenghua District 5-star Hotels

My stay at the hotel itself was perfectly fine, and the service was excellent. They even sent me a delicious birthday cake! The complimentary water had been switched from Voss to Yibao, and the mini-bar's drink selection wasn't very extensive, but honestly, these weren't issues at all. So why did I give the facilities only three stars? It's all thanks to your robot!!!!!!!! I have never encountered such a difficult and downright *rebellious* piece of technology. It's absolutely useless! I asked it to close the curtains, and it replied, 'I like to keep them open!' I asked it to adjust the AC temperature, and it told me, 'I'm too busy, please do it yourself.' Then I asked it to turn off the lights, and it just ignored me completely. Is this thing broken or what?! What kind of AI is this? I'm completely speechless!

1. 5mins walk from Chengdu East railway stn. 2. The counter staff were friendly and able to provide a solution about the warm temperature in my room. The staff at the restaurant counter seems not well trained about the hotel facility, and the male staff outside the hotel (zebra crossing junction) were unfriendly as there wasn't an eye contact when I asked him for advise pertaining to taxi booking. 3. Breakfast were overpriced. 4. Room and toilet were spacious, this was the only hotel I didnt worry about wet flooring after shower during my vacation in China between 12Mar-28Mar.

We stayed here during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, specifically around Children's Day, bringing our child to see the national treasures (pandas). The hotel is conveniently located near the East Railway Station; a taxi ride cost just 18 RMB and took about 20 minutes. The room amenities were satisfactory, though it's certainly not a luxury five-star hotel. The front desk service was excellent, with staff readily assisting us with our luggage. For breakfast, the variety of hot Chinese dishes was limited, but the Western pastries and desserts offered a rich selection. A special shout-out to the beef noodles – they were truly delicious and highly recommended! The hotel's surroundings are brimming with dining options. You'll find popular choices like Chuanxi Bazi and classic Sichuan restaurants, plus countless local snack stalls right downstairs, offering enough variety to try something new every day for a week. What's more, Dongjiao Memory, often likened to Beijing's 798 Art Zone, is conveniently located right behind the hotel and is definitely worth a visit.

I highly recommend this treasure hotel! The location is excellent, with direct access to the subway, and it is very convenient to eat, drink and have fun around. The room is smart and comfortable, the bedding is clean and soft, and the toiletries are high-end. The gym and swimming pool are well-equipped, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. The service is even better. From check-in to check-out, the staff is warm and considerate, and the response is super fast. The experience is full, it is definitely the first choice for travel!

The hotel boasts a good location and offers excellent value for money, with very friendly staff. However, the overall management seems a bit lax. The most significant issue was that the cleaning staff missed a mineral water bottle that a previous guest had opened, taken a sip from, and then placed back. (To be fair, the previous guest hadn't removed the bottle's tag, making it harder to spot), thankfully, my family noticed it in time. When we brought this to the hotel's attention, their response was excellent. They offered us compensation, including complimentary breakfast, executive lounge access, and a transfer service. While their willingness to compensate was commendable, I still hope they'll tighten up their management. After all, by the time compensation is offered, the unfortunate incident has already happened. Compensation is merely a recovery measure; preventing such occurrences should be the hotel's primary management focus and goal. Peak season, with its high occupancy rates, is precisely when housekeeping services face their greatest challenges, and it's during these times that a hotel's management truly shows its strength. Ultimately, despite the hiccup, the hotel offers excellent value. The issue was resolved satisfactorily, the staff are professional and enthusiastic, and the location is good, making it still a recommended stay. (A highlight: Maocai was available for breakfast – distinctly Sichuan!)

Over the past decade, I have had countless hotel stays. This stay made me feel an unprecedented sense of pleasure and relaxation! In addition, the Western and Thai food in the hotel lobby on the fourth floor are also good. Although the price-performance ratio is not particularly high, the taste is good. Hotel customers can also enjoy discounts, which is too comfortable Other suggestions: There is still a lot of room for improvement in breakfast. Some customized breakfasts can be made and delivered to the room. The current category is still a little less, and it is a bit not very matching with such good service

I've stayed here multiple times, and it offers excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable! A minor incident occurred at 2 AM when I was showering in the bathroom and accidentally locked the door, and it subsequently wouldn't open. Fortunately, I was able to contact the front desk using the bathroom phone. They dispatched engineering and hotel staff to unlock it and let me out. Good thing I had my pajamas with me! However, despite staying for three consecutive nights, I didn't receive a single follow-up call from customer service to check on me or my experience after the incident. This level of service certainly needs improvement!

Second time I stayed here because it's great value for money and so close to the train station with a good choice for breakfast and comfy rooms. Only problem this time I was on a smoking floor and opposite the lift so noisy people came during the night and awoke me on different occasions. The wait for the lift in the morning was too long; already 10 minutes and still didn't stop so I had to take the stairs down from the 8th floor with luggage.

Seriously, Shiye's butler service is just phenomenal! Located in Baiyang Tower, the secure access system provides such a sense of safety. Tianfu Square is right downstairs, the subway entrance is just a few steps away, and Chunxi Road is within easy walking distance. The butler sent directions in advance, helped carry our luggage upon arrival, and even spotted a wet patch on the floor when we entered the room, politely warning us to 'watch your step' – that's real attention to detail! They also thoroughly walked us through how to use the projector and the audio system. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a truly stunning panoramic view of the square. It's mesmerizing to watch the city's pulse, from the daytime traffic to the glittering lights at night. Imagine relaxing in the tub while listening to music through the BOSE sound system! Plus, 24/7 on-demand food delivery is available. After just one stay, I'm completely hooked! This will absolutely be my top choice for any future visits to Chengdu!

Exceptional Service and a Great Stay I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The service was truly outstanding — the entire front desk team was excellent, especially staff members 33-66, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We initially received a room that had a slight smell of cigarette smoke, but the staff handled it immediately and switched us to a new room with no hassle at all. This is a great hotel, and I will definitely be coming back again!
