The scenery around the hotel is good, and the hotel's appearance is also very beautiful. You can take many beautiful photos, and you just happened to see the beautiful sunset.
It's the old castle. The stairs are narrow and it's a bit difficult to carry luggage around.

This is a very charming place. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. Leave time to wander the grounds; lovely plants andany birds singing!

We were not disappointed. The Napoleon room is outstanding. It’s like being in another world. The pictures don’t do it justice how opulent the room is. Make sure to poke your head in their wine cave.

Repas anniversaire.en couple '.merci car .un beau et raffiné repas... Arômes originaux dans les plats avant-gardistes que nous avons apprécies ..de l entrée au dessert .....un service délicat discret tout en échangeant de façon sympathique avec les serveurs ..merci .. Une salle magnifique dépaysante ,très bon goût....avec le soleil exceptionnel en plus ce jour du 15 février....a bientôt pour un prochain menu ..... Christiane et robert de Saumur ....

Joli cadre dans un parc boisé, dommage que la signalétique ne permette pas d'arriver facilement à l'accueil de nuit.
Il y a à ce niveau un premier axe d'amélioration.
Le deuxième axe d'amélioration concerne le petit déjeuner qui est banal et ne correspond pas à celui attendu pour un 4*. Pain baguette, pain norvégien, quelques viennoiseries, yaourts, fromage, fromage blanc, oeuf brouillé, saucisse, lard, confiture industrielle, jambon, gravelax, oeuf dur, fruits, jus de fruits. Il manque des produits faits maison comme des gâteaux, brioches, un assortiment de charcuterie, des salades de fruits variées .... surtout pour un prix de 23€.
La chambre en terrasse n'était pas au château mais nous avions une vue sur la Loire dès que nous arrivions au niveau du restaurant.
En point très positif, le personnel de jour comme de nuit, à l'écoute et accueillant.

Good: location overlooking the Loire river
Bad: floor carpet is not ideal for this type of property as the grounds are all pebbles with dirt paths. Terrasse rooms are small and look like motel rooms, not a castle rooms. The staff is not friendly and looks condescending. There are no restaurants nearby. We either have dinner at the hotel or travel to Saumur. There are just a few coffee capsules provided, enough for one day. We have to ask for more and we're instructed to pay for these.
