A beautiful Fairfield with a mismanaged breakfast. As a top tier Marriott member who racks up more than 100 nights a year I really don’t expect extras and don’t get upset when I don't receive any extras. The reviews advised me in advance not to expect much variety for breakfast, but found them out of coffee, half and half and milk at 8 am. No employees around, no one checking and no one at the front desk. Apparently the front desk personnel hang out in the room behind the front desk. Such a beautiful Fairfield building directly across the street from great restaurants with ample easy parking and easy on off from the interstate highway. A travelers dream…. But the little things can ruin a visit.

It's in a big shopping center which contains an Aldi supermarket and a Walmart. The rooms have a nice big bathroom. The shower/bath has dispensers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a microwave, a small refrigerator (no freezer) and a coffee maker with regular and decaf. The free breakfast is okay. There is no natural (unsweetened) yogurt- only sweetened fruit varieties. There is 2%, half and half and OAT milk in pitchers. A refrigerator has skim milk, low fat chocolate milk and 2% milk containers. There are bran flakes (unsweetened) and fruit loops. There is a good selection of things to add such as craisins, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, slivered almonds, shredded coconut, granola and chocolate chips (see photo). The available fresh fruit are bananas and oranges. Warm food - scrambled eggs and bacon. Bagels, biscuits and bread. You can also make waffles. There is a fitness room with an elliptical machine and two treadmills and dumbbells. There is also a small pool.

I had a problem with my reservation. I called the hotel. Wendy was extremely helpful in solving it. Looking forward to booking directly with her when I book my next stay in Horseheads. Very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is well situated just off the highway. We were greeted at the front desk and given the lay of the land. Room with king size bed was comfortable but a bit small. Bed was comfortable-hAd a good night’s sleep. I read many reviews that talked about the thin walls and I must agree. I woke up to a full conversation between the people in the next room. I sure hope nothing they said was confidential.

Overall we had a great experience. The front desk staff was very Friendly and helpful check in staff, room was spacious and clean, and the location is central to food and access to the highway. We will probably stay here again, when we rolling through town
