From start to finish everything was fantastic, customer service was excellent throughout, room was immaculate, and the venue aesthetic is stunning! Will be keeping in mind should we be traveling through in the future!

everything was fantastic. I would definitely stay again. easiest check in I've ever experienced. no hassle and excellent service. the location staff facilities quality and value was great. the whole manicured grounds is beautiful in the Essex countryside. great breakfast and wonderful friendly staff at the bar.

This was my first time staying here and definitely wont be the last. Every member of staff encountered were friendly and helpful from check in to check out and especially at breakfast. I stayed in the Chestnut room in the main building and it was huge, had air conditioning and even had a large open fireplace! The bed was huge (2 singles together) and there was a separate dressing room area which then led to a large bathroom with shower and roll top type bath. The bar and terrace at The Brasserie are really nice and it's great to sit outside on a sunny evening and enjoy a few drinks. My only (very) small issue is that I would like a few more "traditional" meals on the restaurant menu. I ate breakfast in the Belstead room in the morning and it was exceptional - probably one of the best Eggs Benedict I've had! There is plenty of free parking and the free wifi worked perfectly. The whole ambiance of the place is upmarket but relaxing and I would recommend to anyone.

What a lovely place to stay. The room was fabulous. The surrounding are really pleasant. The food was scrumptious too. The staff are really welcoming and very helpful too.

Staff were welcoming friendly and helpful. I rang to make the booking as I noted that the hotel has some connected rooms which would be beneficial for our family group. The receptionist said that for each of the 3 pairs of adjoining rooms one room was booked, however she said she would make a note to investigate the possibility of juggling rooms. I fully thought that we would end up with two rooms in different parts of the hotel, however on arrival we were given Maple and Pine which are connected. We were so pleased with the service! The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. The grounds are pleasant and well kept. An excellent buffet breakfast was served in Belsteads Café on site. The hotel is in a quiet location convenient for Chelmsford centre with excellent road links to places further afield. We all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Channels Hotel.

What a gem of a hotel. I stayed for 3 nights whilst on a course. I was surprised how beautiful the grounds and surrounding area was. I had breakfast at the Belstead, which had such friendly staff and ate one evening in the Belstead restaurant. I couldn't fault anything with my visit.

We stayed here whilst attending our daughter's graduation - starting off with the most amazing afternoon tea at Belsteads onsite. All dietary requirements were catered for, and the food was delicious and amazing value for money. The staff in Belsteads could not be friendlier - the same for the staff at breakfast. We were given an accommodation upgrade, which made the stay even more special. All our rooms were spotless, had everything you needed, and the beds are so comfy. The whole venue is amazing and I would highly recommend it - a truly relaxing experience, and the customer service at all points is exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for helping to make a special day even more so.
