Everything was perfect. Breakfast, the room, swimming pool & garden. Hosts were brilliant. We stayed for 3 nights and this was our 2nd stay. we stayed in 2024.

What a great find when staying in the cheddar area. Not the cheapest of hotels but a very good quality run business. Good quality rooms and bathrooms. All rooms and hotel grounds and swimming pool are spotless. Top quality breakfast. Bit short on parking but public carpark over the road. Short walk to the other joys of Cheddar.

Well located for walking the Gorge. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good. Pool is smaller than appears on photos, you have to pay for a pool towel as not allowed to use towels from room. Access to pool is through car park. Some of the seating area around pool is reserved for hosts family. We arrived before 4.00pm but didn't get a great welcome. Told we could go into the town to kill time. Compare this with our next B&B where we were welcomed in and given complimentary hot drinks and cake. In summary, if you are looking for a one night stay, just to walk the gorge, you get a clean room and a decent breakfast. However, don't be swayed by pictures of the pool and don't expect too much of Cheddar itself.

Loved this hotel. Spotlessly clean, v friendly host, tasty breakfast and pool which was much appreciated in the v hot weather. Cheddar itself was a great location with plenty to do and many food options. We ate Italian and liked the shop with 100 flavours of ice cream and milkshakes. Highly recommended

Will definitely go back and stay in loverly large room 12 is a gem with a generously large bed! The hosts are very friendly and their cooked brekkie is superb. Make sure to get there earlier in the day for a parking space though there is plenty of parking over the road.

Just had a wonderful stay at Gordon’s, can’t recommend highly enough. We travelled with family and both our bedrooms were huge, very clean and spacious. Hosts were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were plentiful and well cooked and presented. Close to local amenities, all in all a great place to stay. I can imagine in the summer months with warm weather the pool is a great addition to this great place. Awesome!
