Room was clean and neat. A/C worked well, and actually quite even though located on a main road. Indoor pool area and riverside area nice. It appears that the hotel houses permanent/transient residents, who were interesting to encounter. Our rooms security door guard was installed improperly and obviously had been causing issues as it was difficult to open door and the door trim was damaged where it attached. When I took photo and showed day clerk she accused us of “ kicking in the door “ For that reason we won’t return.

Thank you so much for your help. My mom’s graveside memorial was planned for outdoors in Cheboygan on a weekend in June 2025 when a hail and blustery rainfall occurred. Our friends staying at the Best Western for the memorial found out about the Breakfast Meeting Room. You opened it for my mom’s memorial. God bless your staff for helping us put it together in less than an hour. The room was clean, the janitor helped, and we were given free facial tissues for all our guests. The room my friends bought there was great too. It was a small miracle.

The pool and hot tub was shut down until 4/16/2025.
The floor under the couch had a pile of dirt and other stuff.

I had a reservation for two nights during the current power outage. I reserved my room at 9:30 that morning and checked in at about noon. Power went out at approximately 8:00 PM, was out the remainder of the first day and the entirety of the second day of my reservation. I was charged full price for both days. I have called to get in touch with the manager and told that she is currently too busy to return my call. I find this to be nothing but an Excuse. In times of an emergency the community needs to come together to support each other and there should policy should in place to reduce the price for guests, whether they are from out of town or local makes no difference. This is tantamount to price gouging and I Will continue to make contact to get this issue resolved.

If I could give less than one star, I would. The front desk staff was horrible and unoccomedating. My niece and a small group of her friends (small being 3 others) wanted to go swimming to celebrate one of their birthdays. One of the mothers purchased a room but then was told the girls were not allowed to go swimming. Because it was against company policy to allow a "party". I'm not sure when four 9-year olds and a supervising mother qualifies as a "party", but I digress. The staff refused to get a manager, made an excuse so they didn't have to get the owner, refused to let the other mothers buy rooms so it wasn't a "party", refused to refund the mother who purchased the one room her money, and scoffed when asked to explain to the 9-year old girls why they weren't allowed to swim since they wouldn't let the adults speak to management. Absolutely horrible to hide behind a policy that wasn't even presented in writing as proof. The Pellston Lodge was more than accommodating and welcoming. Driving an extra 20 minutes is worth it. Go there instead.
