Worst hotel ever experienced in our life! Doing a road trip in Asia with a friend, we only stay in places that are inexpensive but always local and clean. After reading the great hotel reviews, we decided to stay at Yen Chau Hotel for our two-night stay in Chau Doc. Nothing was good, from start to finish, I wouldn't even know where to start because it was so pitiful. A more than frosty welcome with a receptionist who you have the impression of disturbing and who obviously does not accompany you to your room. The room, let's talk about it, a crime scene as there were traces of blood all over the wall from insects that had been crushed before (I hope that was it). Nothing very serious that said as long as they are not in the room… Oh but yes, am I being stupid, we had the honor of staying with a beautiful cockroach in our shower as well as lots of little bed fleas in our sheets ! A dream shared accommodation… When we went down to kindly ask the lady if we could change rooms because it was infested, she told us that it would be cleaned by the “caretaker” during dinner. Great then ! When we returned, understand that we were very surprised to find our dear roommates still there…. Deciding not to sleep with these intruders and having the impression that we were paying a little for ourselves, we put our backpacks back on our backs and went down to explain to this charming lady that we will not stay and sleep here because the price does not justify it. dirtiness. Ugly ok, dirty no. "House policy is no refunds", but is it house policy to not wash sheets to the point that bed fleas stay on them? “yes but we are in a city full of insects” yes, like half of Vietnam and yet this is the first time we see blood on the wall, cockroaches in the shower and insects in the bed. No but seriously, what bad faith…. not to mention that when I asked for the manager's email to talk to him about it, I was refused. Where are we honestly? I come from a city where rats and pigeons dominate, yet there are no rats in hotel rooms if you follow their mentality. In short, with depressed morale, lost money and a search for a new hotel later, we finally arrived in a CHEAPER and clean hotel with FRIENDLY and WELCOMING staff.
