Incredible levels of great service from everyone throughout the hotel. 5* service in the bar unlike any I have known for many years. Superb food in the lovely restaurant. I’ve stayed in dozens of Peak District hotels over 15 years, this is by far the best.

We stayed in the Haddon suite with dinner bed and breakfast include in the price , dinner allowance is £40 per person, I feel this should be increased to £50 as a main is around £29 starter starting at £10 same as pudding , we where lucky we used our allowance for Sunday lunch , the food is quality The Haddon suite was spotless not a bit of dust anywhere , all the furniture was in the right place to watch tv , or read , the bi folding door leads to your own private garden with sofa and chairs The bathroom is out of this world. , only criticism was the towels where poor quality, like drying myself on sandpaper, towels in suites should be fluffy , other little thing there was no saucers with the cups , We paid £335 for our special night , was it worth it of course it was

We had a wonderful overnight stay at this lovely hotel. The reception staff were warm and friendly and our large comfortable room lacked for nothing. Dinner was superb and again the restaurant and bar staff were excellent. Breakfast the next morning was busy but we hardly had to wait at all for our food which was freshly cooked to order and very good. We had a great stay and we will be back.

Attended a wedding No discount offered for wedding guest rooms , receptionist a little abrupt when I asked , never stayed anywhere as a wedding guest and not been given discount? Think this is something the owner and manager need to rethink ,

a lovely hotel, but the Red Lion restaurant was very disappointing, both with service and food. I could not recommend this place as the evening meal we had was of a very poor standard and the service was not good. We went on a Sunday evening and I think the busy Sunday lunch period had taken its toll. We were left with little choice, long waits and disappointing quality of food.

Beautiful place with stunning views and an amazing breakfast! The room was very comfortable with a large bed and a sitting area. The bathroom had a large bathtub and an independent shower. Highly recommend for a stay in the Peak District.

I recently came to the area with my girlfriend and we were looking for a nice place to have dinner for a date night. We drove past the peak edge hotel and thought we’d give it a try. It was fairly warm when we arrived so we sat outside, the view from the terrace is amazing, especially in the evening when the sun starts to set. Unfortunately we had to move inside as my girlfriend’s hayfever was getting bad (so nothing to do with the view or anything the restaurant could control!). The staff were really helpful and happy to move us after our starters, we had amazing food and great service. All the staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. We finished the evening with a little drink in the bar to round off our night of musical chairs! I’d definitely go back if I was in the area again, maybe even staying in one of their rooms for a night or two. Highly recommend this spot for a nice romantic date night! It was a little pricey compared to other places, but well worth every penny if you want good quality, food, drinks, views and service.
