Out of town location and a bit of a drive, but very well worth it. A stunning location in the heart of Northumberland and we were very pleased we had made the journey. The service was excellent from start to finish, service with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb, portion size very generous and beautifully presented, a picture on a plate. I would highly recommend Tempus and look forward to my next visit.

75p per kw for slow charging for cars (7kw) is expensive when the room is over £300 per night One person serving drinks when They sell cocktails is poor planning, 2 people round cost £18 for a beer and a cocktail surely this can afford a second member of staff? Ended up waiting over 15/20mins to get served Also poor layout meaning you need to walk back through reception with hands full of drinks to assess the out side terrace. As staff understandably won’t let you walk through the dinning area when people are eating.

We were staying at the lakeside cabins and although we had initially planned to enjoy the pizza/live music experience in the tipi, we later decided to dine in the restaurant …and I’m so pleased we did. We were looked after by Jacqui throughout our stay and she welcomed our feedback as the lakeside cabins are a new addition to the their range of accommodation. The customer service and little touches we received were excellent and our meal was perfect! We were given some complimentary bread & olives (the biggest and best we’ve ever had!) to enjoy with our wine whilst waiting for our main courses. When they arrived, the steak and lamb were cooked to perfection, tender and very tasty; the best steak we’ve had in a long while. Our rhubarb soufflé desert was amazing too and very impressive! The restaurant had a lovely feel to it, relaxed and non-stuffy and tastefully decorated. The tall chap who served us was also very friendly, helpful and professional and gave us some fresh milk to take to our cabin for morning coffees. Breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed sitting outside on the decked area. The tipis, colourful flowers and fairy lights create a lovely setting. A very enjoyable one night stay and a big thank you to Jacqui and her team for making it so special.

5 of us visited for lunch (including one wheelchair). The location, food, service and atmosphere were excellent. The price isn’t cheap but the quality and experience was very good. We especially liked the opportunity to sit out on the Terrace after our meal. Great location and worth a visit

Staff was quite rude and unpleasant, however the place is beautiful and food is well presented but on the other hand the quality of the food did not reach our expectations especially for the price. Probably won’t be back.

Stayed overnight for my birthday having stayed in late July for a wedding,on arrival we were informed we had been upgraded to junior suite from that point on it was a brilliant stay the staff are second to none the food in the restaurant excellent we can't wait to go back Many thanks to all

This was our first visit to The Tempus despite living in the area. We went for lunch and were very impressed. We were in The Orangery, and the service, food and atmosphere were great, although it was a quiet midweek visit. The menu had a good range and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Overall a great experience. Although it was expensive for the area, we felt it was good value considering the quality.

This was a last minute booking and did not disappoint. Every staff member we had the pleasure of meeting were brilliant. Food excellent. Room really lovely and appreciated the aircon. Great value for the price point. Will definitely be back.
