Stayed in the Nantucket Room that has two floors. It is extremely spacious and well appointed. The street windows are right by the hotel sign which translates into a red halo through the windows, although it is undeniably there, we were able to have a good rest through the night... but had to watch The Chicken Roaster episode from Seinfield that night.

This is a beautiful hotel with an attentive staff! We were on a 12 night road trip and Retro Suites was our best accommodation. This hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it! The adjoining restaurant was delicious and the neighborhood very walkable.

WOW! This hotel is an art gallery, a comfortable, clean stay, funky as anything, and with brilliant service! Each and every room, and lobby, is unique, colourful and fun! I was fortunate to stay in SUNSET, which suited me perfectly. Thanks to Belinda, Brooke and all the gang. I'll be returning, for sure!

The Hostess seated us and then returned and said that we had to leave within 50 minutes. The crepe line was a 20 minute wait all on its own, which only left us half an hour to eat at the buffet, enjoy coffee/tea, have dessert, etc. Please note that customers also needed to get their own drinks. All areas had line ups, which also took time. We paid $239.00 for the 4 of us, and the Hostess returned after 50 minutes and asked us to leave so that another group of guests could be seated. We had not even enjoyed dessert yet. There were empty tables set and ready in various areas of the banquet room that could have been used to seat customers. In addition, we had an elder with us that had accessibility requirements, which staff did not consider as well. I do not recommend this event. Very disappointed. Horrible experience, especially for the amount of money.

Very interesting hotel. The room itself wasn't very different from other places I have stayed. You are paying for the uniqueness of the lobby etc. One of my children was exhausted and we were able to order food to take up to our room which was terrific. There was a surcharge to do that but we were grateful for the option.

We just got home from a "2-day stay in the South". We live in Forest & went to explore Chatham (about an hour south of us). We had a fabulous time at the Retro Suites. We loved our room (The urban Loft) & we can't wait to come back & try out another room. The hotel is beautiful, like an art gallery with so many unique displays. The staff are so friendly & helpful. Tina (at the front desk) called us personally to let us know that the restaurant that we had consided for dinner, had unexpectantly closed due to an accident. That's amazing customer service The restaurant in the hotel was lovely. We had a delicious breakfast on the Sunday morning. The access to the Fit4life gym (a 3 minute walk) was so great. We highly recommend staying at the Retro Suites Hotel!

This lovely boutique hotel is a treat for anyone to stay. You are greeted by a large playful lobby filled with art and nostalgia. However, even more special, during this stay it dawned a gorgeous Christmas tree in a massive window for all to see. The concierge was fabulous, they were so attentive, they made sure we knew everything that was going on in the hotel and the restaurant. The did two things that made our stay even better, we were able to sneak in to the room a touch early and they hunted down a fancy champagne bucket (filed with ice) as we were celebrating a special moment. Where this is a boutique hotel it’s full of adventurous, it’s not cookie cutter rooms or hallways. The rooms are all themed and the wall are covered with special items and gorgeous artwork, many form local Chatham artists. Also depending on which room you choose, there are different elevators or a gorgeous grand staircase to reach them. We had the opportunity to stay in the Presidential Suite, it was perfect! We had a massive view of downtown and the Thames River, it was rather spectacular at night. The ceilings were extremely high and from them came this absolutely stunning crystal chandelier, which I could not stop staring at because it was so beautiful. The bathroom was fitted with massive soaker tub and huge separate shower, also for those that like a bit of separation, there was a dedicated room for the toilet, which is always awesome. When you are getting ready to settle in for the night, there are two sinks so everyone can do their business. As for the bed, we slept like logs! We had no complaints about how peaceful the room was at all. There was also lots of seeing, and a nice little kitchenette with a really cool table for those who are staying for a longer trip. It was the perfect hotel stay and the complimentary continental breakfast just made it the much more perfect as it was filled with actual delicious goodies. If you are in Chatham for a night or longer, this is the place for you!

Loved, loved, loved this place. I want to go again and stay in another suite. The hotel is quirky and comfortable and quiet. There was a continental breakfast which we appreciated. The attached restaurant is also excellent.

Very good experience with our stay here. All rooms have different themes. We stayed in the Urban Studio and we felt transformed to another place. The suite was huge and we enjoyed our stay away from home. Huge bathtub and shower. King size bed so comfortable that we slept very well. We also had the add on of the charcuterie package which included a charcuterie board, bottled water, in room coffee/tea, use of plush robes and late check-out (12pm). Totally worth it for a getaway! We will definitely be visiting again and try out a different suite.
