Underwhelmed by the whole experience. Staff, although generally welcoming, were undercooked in terms of interpersonal skills, communication and an overall lack of professionalism. Food in restaurant and bar for both breakfast and evening meals was really good - 2nd best steak I've ever had! Executive rooms only were on-par with a standard Premier Inn or Holiday Inn, no in-room heating controls (were told room heating only comes on at certain times). Disorganised between spa booking and actual treatments, including meal with package. What was advertised wasn't delivered in full in terms of treatments, or at very least the treatments available. No cohesiveness between hotel and spa. Cleanliness of room was a 7/10, as dust and grime in obvious places. Just seemingly a lack of care. When a spurious amount was shown as unpaid on checkout, even though paid as we went, it was just disregarded and blamed the bar staff for the error. Camden used as main supplier, hence higher prices at the bar. Better overall experiences for a hotel and spa break are available in the area. Could be REALLY good value for money with more care and attention, sprinkled with a touch of professionalism. Struggled to identify more senior or experienced staff on duty, which may be something to look at as a potential reason for the outcome.
