So we stayed for about 3 days while we visited carowinds. (.5 miles by path, .38 direct across parking lot walking) Only negatives we had was no freezer on the fridge and no tub (daughter doesn't do shower) we tried to think of negatives and that's about it. The pool is also small for the number of guests with kids who are their / use it. Room was really clean there was no problems everything worked lots and lots of outlets and USB ports. Meals for breakfast we're good warm no major issues the waffles were great biggest complaint was that they only had them one morning and wanted them the next and they didn't have them that day so that was kind of sad.

We have been staying at the Springhill Suites by Marriott at Carowinds for our trips since it opened a few years ago. So we were there last night for our yearly trek to Carowinds. The beds are always cozy and great place to land after a day in the park. The rooms have always been clean, HOWEVER, this time.. while clean had some SERIOUS mold issues in the shower area. You can tell someone tried to clean it and maybe even paint over it. Anyway.. seems a bit ridiculous for a newer hotel especially for $300 a night! I just wanted to share for those that have allergies.

The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in our room, they did not come to take the trash or give us new towels until we finally asked on day 3. The food was the same thing, and cold and overcooked. We would go out and get breakfast and pay to avoid eating the food. I would not recommend or go back to this hotel.

The waffles at breakfast were AMAZING!! The sidewalk that took us straight to Carowinds was awesome. We were only 20 minutes away from SouthPark Mall. Everyone here was so friendly. I liked the layout of the room (with 2 separate sinks). Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Carowinds.

Easy walk to Carowinds. Great breakfast options before heading to the park. Spacious room to stretch out after all the coasters. Snack/market section is light. Easy to park on premise with room key at gate.
