The attitude of a black woman at the front desk was not good. The hotel bed was too soft, and her back hurt when she slept. Because my daughter stayed there for 38 days, I just booked this hotel to see her. Not recommended!

We loved our room at this hotel. It had a very well equipped kitchen area, a ceiling fan and the air conditioning worked really well. Housekeeping missed refilling the coffee amenities which I really liked having in the morning. The rest of the room cleaning was pretty good. This hotel charges $35 a night for valet parking and there is no lot for self parking. Pretty steep but worth it if you don't want t walk a great distance in the heat and humidity. Do some research on your own for how to get around town. I asked a young man at the front desk for info on the free bus that I was pretty sure stopped right across the street from the hotel. He was clueless about it, had to look it up on the internet and then proceeded to give me wrong information. He also didnt seem very professional, sitting down the whole time and didnt offer any advice, The worst part of my stay was the pool. It was pretty dirty. The tiles were in desperate need of a good cleaning!

Had a great time in Charleston at the Homewood. Can’t beat valet parking and a quick check in. Great location, within walking distance to the best restaurants. Tom hooked us up with a great Hilton vacation deal while we enjoyed a drink at the bar. Our room was freshly remodeled and breakfast was hot and tasty.

Overall we had a good stay. The parking situation here is probably biggest complaint. It’s 35/night to valet, otherwise you just have to find street parking as it’s available. Our room was a room for 6 people, however the 2 queen beds felt small, almost like doubles. We didn’t sleep great on the beds. Seemed like our maid service wasn’t overly attentive to our supplies in the bathroom, I had to ask the front desk for more on occasion. The place was overall clean, had a great breakfast, and overall was not bad. I just despise paying for parking at these absorbent fees when I’m on vacation.

Tanya was amazing and so incredibly welcoming and kind. Sue was a great bartender but what made her stand out was I was talking about my experience at breakfast and said how well the staff was she gave me a card and told me to review the morning staff so people knew what a great experience I had. I loved talking to her and she could make a delicious drink but I loved she was a person who cared about those she worked with!! Jim, the guest ambassador was also a pleasure. Mostly because I didn’t know he was an ambassador until after I asked to sign up for vacation club. The hotel was clean. Great location and staff was amazing.

Had a great experience at this surprisingly spacious hotel. You can’t beat the location, and once your car is in Valet there’s no need to move it for the duration of your stay as everything is in walking range. We had a few hiccups checking in but Matty ( front desk) took care of us so well. The place was chaotically busy and he stayed calm and smiling while offering true Southern charm and hospitality. That’s the whole reason for visiting Charleston, right?

Very uncomfortable bedding...unacceptable for this type of establishment!!! We can add very poor communication with reception. When you get woken up by 3 rooms around you at 2am and nothing has been done and the noise continued until 4am. Not everyone is on vacation! I visit a lot of Hilton hotels and this one is the worst of them all. absolutely avoid!!!!

Hotel was conveniently located and was within walking distance to many attractions. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping lacked training. No safe in the room and the front desk claimed they did not know how to access the safe deposit boxes. Also claimed there was no manager on duty. Really? Housekeeping staff was cutting every corner. No towels replaced. Coffee after 2nd request was replaced with Kcup tea. There was not a Kurik the room. Not what you would expect for that price.

Very happy with our spacious suite. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely shower and bed after a hot day exploring. Breakfast was really good and the staff were generally helpful. The location was convenient for the historic district, easy to walk into. It’s important to turn right outside of the hotel entrance as I believe going left will lead to a rough area. Really liked this hotel as a base , it was a rushed quick decision to book after being scammed for an apartment but one we didn’t regret. The only negative aspect is that a safe isn’t provided.
