From the first greeting by the parking attendants upon arrival to the pleasant check out by the staff at the front desk every interaction with the staff at The Charleston place was excellent. We will be quick to return the next time visit to Charleston.

I am a flight attendant and was only here for 14 hours. I had packed my bag for a less fancy destination but really wanted a nice sit down breakfast. Went around the corner to find something nice to wear but it was too early. Went in with my shorts and a t shirt and John my waiter treated me like a princess and put me at ease in my comfy clothes. I stay at hotels twice a week and this hotel makes everyone feel special and cared for. From the front desk to the valet opening the doors. Thanks for a lovely overnight.

The best hotel I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. Rooms- exquisite Food and drinks at the bar and restaurant absolute perfection and all the staff were so friendly and thoughtful our stay really was incredible.

Location cannot be beat! The hotel rooms were clean and service was exceptional. The lobby and restaurants had a fun vibe as well. However, our only complaint was the housekeeping service. While they did a good job cleaning our room, literally EVERY single item was moved which was a bit of a frustrating experience. Example: Phone chargers removed from the outlets and placed across the room, all items from the nightstand were moved to the dresser (they mixed up our used water bottles so I couldn't tell which one belonged to me), bathroom items rearranged etc. I travel extensively and have never seen housekeeping touch and move so many of my personal items. The worst part is my roommate's suitcase was moved ACROSS the room and put on a luggage rack directly next to mine with all of our dirty clothes (including underwear) COMBINED in a pile. On top of the dirty clothes pile was a piece of paper listing the laundry service prices. Im sorry, but that is pretty gross to have to dig through a dirty heap of clothes to retrieve your clothes since we didn't want to use the laundry service. Plus my roommate ended up accidentally taking home a few pieces of my clothing thinking it was hers, since we brought similar items. After returning home later in the evening it took us a while to locate all of our items back to the original places, plug our chargers back in etc when all we wanted to do was go to sleep. Not an ideal guest experience! Needless to say we did not use housekeeping the rest of the trip, as we did not want our stuff messed with again.

This was our first stay after many, many visits during our trips to the city and we were overwhelmed with the hospitality and attention to detail the staff provided us! Lauren went above and beyond to make celebrating my daughter's 30th birthday with your hotel a most memorable experience! My daughter's favorite coloe is green and favorite flower is a sunflower. Lauren made sure she had green cake pops, small bouquets with sunflowers, and green cakepops as well as green balloons in the numbers 3 and 0. Joseph at rhe front desk made check in a breeze, Dave handled all of our transportation needs effortlessly and the valet gentlmen were so incredinle, as was our bell hop who took our luggae to our room. Ronald(sp?) In the VIP lounge made our meals so enjoyable with his wonderful demeanor, friendly smile, amd great conversation. We had the king suite woth Juliet balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. We couldn't ask for a better first time experience and can't wait to return!
