The service was excellent-all the staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and cozy. The breakfast choices in the morning were comprehensive and were high quality. I would also recommend eating in the restaurant in the evening as it is convenient and good.

We stayed in the suite, which was like a tiny apartment. Hidden location with lovely countryside to go for a walk around it. Although it was a busy night at the pub there was no noise in the room. Great breakfast (freshly baked croissant and pain au chocolat). Overall quiet and relaxing

Stayed here whilst walking the North Downs Way. Whilst close to the trail we were taxied here from another location which had no accommodation. The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. We availed ourselves of a dinner in their restaurant

As the last part of a six-week driving trip around the UK, we stayed at The Bowl Inn for four nights. This is a popular pub/restaurant despite (or maybe due to?) being located on a small back road, surrounded by farms. Every part of our stay here was delightful and we actually hated to leave. The staff and owners could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We enjoyed cooked-to-order breakfasts and a nice selection of dinner items. We had one of the larger rooms (ask for room 9), which was spacious and comfortable, complete with a terrace and pastoral view. Our thanks for making us feel very welcome and at home at The Bowl Inn.

What an amazing place, set off by brilliant service. We arrived on Saturday afternoon after a lovely walk around the nearby Kings Wood, our room was not quite ready so we were seated in the pub and well looked after while we waited. Once shown to our room we found a really comfortable and nicely decorated room, it felt luxurious and clean. It's a very quiet location at night and we slept really well. We were in the "garden room" which has its own little garden with patio doors, the garden is well screened and felt really private. The pub has a nice mixed vibe of old local pub, and very lovely modern restaurant in the extension at the back, the two blend together very well. It was busy on Saturday night but the background noise was not overwhelming it just made for a nice atmosphere. There are two nice outside areas with countryside all around. Tables inside and out are well spaced and not crammed in. Dinner on Saturday night was delicious, our server (Georgia) was chatty and personable and put real effort in to look after us, nothing felt like too much trouble. All of the staff seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had a good time, and seemed to enjoy working there, which is sadly lacking in a lot of places these days. Breakfast on Sunday morning was good quality, well cooked, and tasty; although it was not as hot as it could have been. We once again experienced the same great service as the night before. We will definitely be back!

abrupt, miserable unwelcoming women showed us to our rooms. Top money for dusty rooms, poor toiletries. You could hear the people speaking to each other in the next room and snoring. Food mediocre. no ales available. Had to pay extra for hot chocolate at breakfast as was not included in B&B £170 rate. Plus points, comfy bed and friendly restaurant staff

The first thing to say is that the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful and looked after us very well. We had a meal in the restaurant and we were a little disappointed. We waited almost 40 minutes for our food, despite the restaurant being only one third full. My husband had the pie of the day which was very enjoyable. However, my chicken Caesar salad was quite a disappointment. The chicken was beautifully cooked, but there was hardly any Caesar dressing in the leaves and when I asked for more dressing I was given a portion of vinaigrette, rather than Caesar dressing. Worse thing was that there was no Parmesan at all in the salad - not sure how you can have a caeser salad without Parmesan. I felt this was poor value, to pay £17 for a caeser salad with hardly any dressing and no Parmesan - basically some salad leaves with a chicken breast on top.
