we went for Sunday brunch that starts at 8:30 am, we arrived at noon, it ends at 1:00 pm. It felt like most of the food had been sitting there since 8:30, polenta and salmon were dry on the outside, some of the food was no longer available after 12:00 30, we were told sorry, we ran out ! And we paid the same price as people coming early and getting the best of it ! The place is gorgeous so is the service but if you want to have brunch there don't go after 10:30 am

As a UNC Alum, I was super excited to show our son the Chapel Hill campus. Hadn't been back to Chapel Hill in nearly 20 years and was pleasantly surprised at how lovely the Carolina Inn is. It was always a great place, but the renovations they've done since I last visited are top notch. We had comfy beds, welcoming lobby with lots of seating, grab and go food options, small well stocked gift store and delicious dining options. And so great b/c it's basically ON the UNC campus, a few blocks from Franklin Street, and a ten minute stroll to the student union where our tour started. Looking forward to coming back.

We recently had my daughter's wedding at the Carolina Inn and it was a perfect event! Kayla worked with us on every detail and was extremely kind and patient wth our MANY questions over the months. She helped to keep us on track and ensured that we had all of our ducks in a row for the big day. The food was fabulous, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Caroline's assistance was invaluable as well in booking the many rooms that we needed for out of town guests. All in all, we would not change a thing!

We were there for sports at UNC. The location is amazing - close to the campus and also to Franklin street. The hotel is lovely with many amenities. We especially liked sitting outside on the porch having dinner.

There is a reassuring charm about this place. You are greeted warmly by the men who take your car and right on through your stay. My room was comfortable but was one with an adjoining door which lead to some bothersome noise from next door at night. There is a charge for almost everything which given the basic price might be reviewed. The food was very, very good.

We had a wedding block and our suite was not ready because “a Hyatt executive was in the room”. We had multiple events over multiple days and the hotel even tried to violate parts of the contract we signed. Totally pretentious and obnoxious place- I can’t believe Hyatt is associated with them (or maybe I can?)

The hotel is beautiful and we were pleased with the service received. We went on a Saturday night so we could try their Sunday brunch. We are globalists and were upgraded to a premium room, received free brunch and free valet parking, which we appreciated. We frequented the Magnolia Pantry and enjoyed a lot of the snacks. We enjoyed looking around the hotel, seeing its' history etc. Our room was comfortable but lacked sufficient lighting. We requested and received a room in a quiet location, away from the wedding parties, but did have noise disturbances above us despite that - not the hotels fault. We enjoyed our stay, but would probably not return because we feel there other Hyatts that suit us more.
