The hotel's stylish design immediately impressed us upon arrival, making it incredibly photogenic. Our room was also exceptionally spacious, easily accommodating our family of four without feeling crowded. The bathroom featured a practical wet/dry separation and a Kohler smart toilet. What's more, they offered complimentary self-service laundry and drying, which was incredibly thoughtful! The friendly front desk staff even invited guests for a tea tasting, and luggage storage was readily available. Located right at the main entrance of Kaiyuan Temple, it was super convenient for exploring the ancient city's sights and local eateries.

This guesthouse is truly a 'small but charming' find. The first floor boasts inviting indoor and outdoor areas, and the air conditioning is exceptionally powerful. Its Nanyang (Southeast Asian) style design and decor are very well executed, making it quite photogenic.
**Breakfast**: A complimentary voucher is provided for 'Chaozhou Shiban Qu Fish Dumplings'. You'll need to walk to a shop on Xima Road to enjoy it, but it's a great opportunity to sample one of Chaozhou's famous local snacks.
**Facilities**: The rooms are fully equipped with all the essentials, including a projector for screen casting.
**Location**: It's nestled deep within an alley in a residential area, so there isn't much of a scenic view from the windows.
**Service**: A staff member picked us up from the ancient city's edge in a golf cart, and they also assisted with luggage transfer upon our departure. The service was quite good.

Great location near Zhumumen Gate (drop off / pickup if you're taking Didi from the train station), and less than 10min walk to Guangji Bridge and the food streets. Room was quaint and comfy, good ventilation and air conditioning. Bathroom a bit tiny, but clean and really appreciate that there's a door separating the shower and toilet. Bonus points for the cute chonky cat in the lobby~

A very decent and comfortable room in a very good location just in front of Kaiyuan Temple and Paifeng Walking Street. Walking distance to most of the city's major attractions. Good option for short stay.

I selected this hotel based on recommendations from various platforms. Initially, I was a bit concerned it might be dated, but after checking in, I'm happy to give it an overall excellent review.
**Service:** The staff were all wonderful – they communicated clearly and softly, and were very responsive. The lobby offered a variety of healthy teas, which were a pleasant and practical touch. They also provide complimentary laundry service; my clothes were washed, neatly folded, and hung on the doorknob within three to four hours, ready for me upon my return.
**Ambiance:** The ambiance is very tranquil and elegant. Regular Pipa performances further accentuated its refined charm. Chaozhou West Lake is directly opposite, making it incredibly convenient for morning strolls. Although some previous reviews mentioned noise, I personally found it quite acceptable.
**Transportation:** Taxis are easily accessible. The Ancient City is about a 15-minute walk away, and there are plenty of convenient dining options nearby.

The hotel's location is excellent and quiet, with private parking and diligent security. The interior design is stylish and practical.
The two front desk staff members checking us in weren't wearing uniforms, and in perfect synchronization, they both tried to coax two separate groups of guests into upgrading their rooms by asking them to 1. add them on WeChat, 2. copy-paste hotel-provided content for a review after check-out, and 3. leave a five-star rating. Their pitch was clearly well-rehearsed.
Because we requested two rooms on the same floor, they could only 'upgrade' one, otherwise they couldn't accommodate our request. Amusingly, upon entering rooms 410 and 411, we immediately noticed there was no discernible difference between the two in terms of room design, size, furniture, or facilities. It was a 'pointless upgrade' at best, but room 410 also had a distinctly pungent smoke smell. The housekeeping staff tried to explain that the smell was just air freshener, an explanation we promptly rejected. They then showed us room 415, which also reeked of smoke. Finally, room 412 was acceptable. In total, we saw four rooms on the 4th floor, and the only discernible difference among them was the smell. Honestly, for the sake of five-star reviews, this hotel clearly has no ethical bottom line. Oh, and in room 411, there was a visible cobweb hanging from the ceiling above the bed – maybe clean that up when you have a moment.

The hotel has a good geographical environment. It is quite close to Paifang Street, just a 20-minute walk. Opposite the hotel is West Lake Park. The double bed room has no street view or lake view and looks old. Fortunately, the front desk was very friendly. I asked for the price difference and got a free upgrade to a lake view room. But the problem is that although I can see that the merchant used hollow glass to reduce noise, the noise of motorcycles on the roadside is really loud. Still get woken up in the middle of the night. Also, the hottest water in the bathtub tap is only warm water, and the toothbrush is a bit difficult to use, which can be improved. The overall decoration is OK and pretty. If the weather is good, the lake view and tree shadows are really worth seeing. But the overall price is high, it depends on personal choice.

This hotel is really old. The socket panel in the bathroom has fallen off. The hair dryer has poor contact and needs to be blown in the room. The toilet has been leaking and making noises. The toilet seat cover makes a harsh sound when it opens and closes. Fortunately, it doesn't affect sleep when the door is closed... The breakfast has few choices and tastes bad... The price has almost tripled during the May Day holiday. I didn't want to go there, so I just stayed for three nights. It's better not to go there during holidays. The experience is really not good. The location is quite convenient. It's a few kilometers to walk to West Lake Park, about 20 yuan to take a taxi to the ancient city, 53 yuan to the high-speed rail station, or go to the bus station next to it.

The hotel boasts a prime location right by Chaozhou West Lake, offering a truly beautiful surrounding environment. It's incredibly convenient for a leisurely walk around the West Lake or exploring the historic Chaozhou Ancient City area. Inside, the hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff are exceptionally helpful and address any concerns promptly. Our room even featured a tatami area, perfect for unwinding. Sipping on the complimentary Phoenix Dancong tea while admiring the stunning West Lake views from the window was pure bliss – a truly serene escape that felt like 'stealing a moment of peace from a busy life'. The hotel is surrounded by numerous fantastic local Chaozhou eateries, and transportation options are incredibly convenient. Whether you prefer a rickshaw, an electric scooter, a taxi, or even a shared e-bike, you'll find them all readily available nearby.

As a person who travels frequently, I have stayed in many hotels and B&Bs. This Alley Morocco in Chaozhou is undoubtedly the best among them, bringing great convenience and comfort to my trip to Chaozhou.
The hotel is located in the core area of Zhenhai Tower in the ancient city, and the surrounding attractions are within walking distance, saving a lot of travel time. The transportation is also very convenient. Because the hotel is in an alley, the housekeeper also specially arranged a pick-up service to the hotel.
When I checked in, the housekeeper was efficient and professional. He quickly arranged a room for me, introduced me to the local specialties, and gave me a small map, which was very practical. The room is designed in Moroccan exotic style with excellent lighting

MM16581****We went to Nan'ao Island and planned a two-day trip to Chaozhou. Because it was crowded, we specifically looked for a stand-alone B&B, hoping for more freedom. I had already seen Joyjoy B&B on Ctrip and loved its style, so I booked it immediately. On the day of check-in, it was raining and we had a lot of luggage, but the owner was so thoughtful that he offered to bring us umbrellas. After checking in, he enthusiastically explained the B&B and recommended many local restaurants. He was very patient and attentive. The rooms all had large beds and bathtubs, and they thoughtfully provided disposable bath bags and milk bath gel. For those of us who aren't used to the humidity in the south and the north, a milk bath at night was incredibly relaxing! A special thank you to the owner. Our sister was feeling unwell due to acclimatization issues, so when we checked out, the owner reserved a room for her to rest until we left. Thank you again for your warm and thoughtful care! We truly experienced the warmth of the Chaozhou people!

The courtyard is like home, the boss is very careful, the service attitude is also very good, it is raining when I go, sitting in the yard drinking tea and eating delicious, listening to the sound of the rain, it seems to be back to childhood, very healing, very healing, after check-out headphones forgot to take, When I went back, I happened to see the boss doing check-out cleaning 🧹 wiping the corners of the bathroom a little bit. It was really fine. The West Lake of Paifang Street was nearby. The food was very comfortable and very good. It was very comfortable and comfortable. GGuest UserAbsolutely delighted! (Just a note: the photos were taken at checkout, so the bed's a bit dishevelled!)
I'd seen reviews raving about how surprisingly good it was and thought they might be exaggerating, but it genuinely exceeded my expectations! It's impeccably clean and tidy, all the facilities look brand new, and the room felt incredibly spacious. We had a truly comfortable stay!
I particularly appreciated the wet/dry bathroom separation, with the washbasin cleverly placed in between.
The location is excellent too; there are plenty of delicious food options nearby. It's just a leisurely 10-minute electric scooter ride to Paifang Street in the ancient city. Most importantly, it was incredibly quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep!
The owner is very friendly and helpful, offering great travel recommendations. Plus, you can even rent electric scooters directly from them!

MM12991****Come to Chaozhou, choose this hotel! I must give you my unreserved five-star praise🌟
📍 The transportation is convenient beyond imagination: The hotel's geographical location is excellent, it is simply a little expert in transportation hubs. There is a bus stop not far from the hotel. Various bus routes extend in all directions, making it very convenient to go to any attraction in Chaozhou.
👨🤝👨 The boss is enthusiastic and warms your heart: from the moment you step into the hotel, you can feel the boss's enthusiasm.

GGuest UserThe location is very good. It takes ten minutes to walk to the ancient city of Chaozhou. There are also entertainment facilities such as k-room game console mahjong. On a rainy night, the landlord’s green plants are very good at the end of the family and small ones in the hotel. Up, you can also enjoy the flowers and plants in the small garden on the third floor. Finally, I went to the neighborhood to buy the beef tendon ball introduced by the landlord. It was delicious.

AAnonymous UserConvenient transportation, take a taxi to the intersection of West Road and get off for 1 minute. Walk along the alley and all the way is delicious. After visiting the archway street, it just happened to be Guangji Bridge.
Let's see the pictures for yourself!
The most important thing is that the boss is a good-minded and cultural person. He is very patient and cultivated. In the evening, he takes two babies to talk about literature, discuss life, and talk until 2 o'clock in the night. My son said that he will stay here tomorrow night.🍉!
recommend! Stay here next time!

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe first time I came to Chaozhou, I felt very good staying at Chaozhou Kaiyuan. The hotel has a good location and is very close to the ancient city. The internal environment of the hotel is good, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the service is thoughtful. Although it is a newly opened hotel, there is no peculiar smell and it is cost-effective. As soon as we entered the hotel, we were warmly received by Xiao Chen and Xiao Gu at the front desk. When checking in for us, they not only helped us upgrade the room type for free, but also poured hot tea for us at the tea place, making us feel at home. Because we came early, the room that was upgraded for us was not cleaned yet. When we told Xiao Chen and Xiao Gu that we accidentally sprained our feet on the road just now and wanted to go to the room to rest early, they comforted us on the one hand, and Xiao Gu immediately contacted the room service staff to clean the room as soon as possible, so that we could stay in the room to rest in the shortest time. Xiao Chen also asked us if we needed Yunnan Baiyao, etc. Their warm and thoughtful service touched us. Next time I come to Chaozhou, I will definitely stay at Kaiyuan Hotel again.

ZZixingduoduoThis time I lived in Hanshui half-hidden, the experience was perfect! The homestay is built on the Han River, the river view outside the window is picturesque, the rooms are simple and elegant, and the facilities are complete and clean. The boss is warm and hospitable, not only helping to plan the itinerary, but also sharing authentic food. Great location, walking distance to attractions. Living here is really comfortable!
