Staying here again after eleven years, it feels so memorable. The inn is quaint and has a great location. You can walk to Paifang Street in just two minutes. The butler at the front desk has a great service. He personally went out to greet us and took us to the nearby parking lot for free. He also informed us of the attractions and food in Chaozhou. Next time I come to Chaozhou, I will definitely choose Zaiyang Inn again.

A lovely boutique hotel with Chinese style rooms. Good location on a quiet side road in Chaozhou old town. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

The best advantage of this small hotel is the location which is in the centre of the ancient city and only a few minutes walk to the famous Chaozhou ancient bridge. It is a restored historic building, one storey high and very quaint and quirky. It was very clean and all amenities worked well. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One should note that the rooms are very small and the taxis cannot drop you at the hotel. Still, it was only a 4-minute walk to the hotel from the vehicular street. The hotel does not serve breakfasts but there are plenty of cafes and street food in the ancient city. The room was fine for a solo traveller for a weekend but if a couple, or staying longer than a weekend, I suggest booking a larger room in this hotel.
